Chapter 59 - The Great Thief Yamcha

"Ahhhh..."

"Help! Help!!!"

Terrified, Oolong's face turned pale as he flailed in the air, shouting for help.

Under normal circumstances, he could just transform to save himself, but he was too scared to even remember that option.

"Hahahaha…"

Laughing joyfully, Goku caught Oolong just as he was about to hit the ground and then hung him onto the Ruyi Staff.

"Do you still want to go down?"

Landing as well, Yuujin asked with a smile.

"No, no, I don't want to go down!"

Holding onto the Ruyi Staff tightly, Oolong shook his head like a rattle, thinking he was really going to fall to his death just now.

"Well, if you don't want to go down, let's keep moving," Yuujin said.

Yuujin and Goku continued to ride on the Black Nimbus and Golden Nimbus respectively, while Oolong shed silent tears in his heart. He had only deceived some villagers—nothing too evil—so why did he have to encounter these demons?

No one paid attention to Oolong's grief; Yuujin had already decided to bring him to Kame Island to live with Master Roshi and the others. Despite being a pervy little pig, Oolong was amusing and, in the original Dragon Ball, he made a wish to Shenron for a pair of women's underwear, preventing Pilaf's gang from conquering the world.

Believe it or not, he was a world-saving super pig, ranking even ahead of Goku, who later saved Earth multiple times.

Leaving Oolong on Kame Island would add to the atmosphere there. With Master Roshi, Grandpa Gohan, and the sea turtle, the four of them could even play mahjong. Plus, Oolong's little quirks would fit right in with Master Roshi and Grandpa Gohan's personalities.

After staying on Kame Island for two days, Yuujin and Bulma's group continued their journey to find the Dragon Balls...

In the sky, streaks of black and golden light streaked across the horizon.

"Bulma, have you detected the next Dragon Ball?"

On the Black Nimbus, Yuujin asked Bulma beside him.

"Yep, found it! Let me check the map."

"Mount Frypan..."

"That's such a strange name, but the next Dragon Ball should be there," Bulma said, pointing at a spot on the map after looking at the Dragon Radar.

"Mount Frypan, huh…" Yuujin's lips curved up in a smile as he narrowed his eyes.

If his memory was correct, his "second senior brother," the Ox-King, lived on Mount Frypan!

Of course, Yuujin wasn't particularly interested in the Ox-King himself; what intrigued him more was the Ox-King's daughter, Chi-Chi, who, in the original Dragon Ball, became Goku's wife.

However, glancing at Goku, who was beside him happily munching on fruit on the Flying Nimbus, Yuujin felt a bit conflicted. Unlike the original story, in this world, Chi-Chi and Goku would not end up as a couple.

Perhaps... he could step in instead.

"Yuujin, it's getting late today. Why don't we rest here tonight and head to Mount Frypan tomorrow?" Tights said, snapping Yuujin out of his thoughts.

Noticing the sun about to set, Yuujin agreed, "Let's rest here for the night then."

After landing, Yuujin carried Bulma and Tights to the ground in an empty wilderness. With no signs of people around, they, already used to camping in the wild, didn't mind at all.

Bulma pulled out a case of Hoi-Poi Capsules, found a dry, sheltered spot, and tossed out a capsule. With a loud pop, a house appeared.

The Hoi-Poi Capsules, invented by Dr. Brief (Bulma and Tights's father), can store almost any non-living object, like cars, boats, planes, and houses, inside small capsules. They were a huge boost to human technology and even civilization.

As daughters of the Capsule Corporation's founder, Bulma and Tights were well-stocked with capsules containing houses, vehicles, boats, helicopters, and even food, water, and cosmetics.

Going from barren wilderness to a cozy home was pure bliss. Goku dashed around inside, unable to contain her excitement, while Bulma and Tights stretched and sighed in relaxation.

"Yuujin, Bulma and I will prepare dinner. You guys can rest a bit," Tights said, then headed to the kitchen with Bulma.

Back at home, robots and their mom handled cooking, so Bulma and Tights weren't exactly skilled chefs. But after traveling with Yuujin and Goku, they practiced and could now whip up a decent meal.

"Goku, time for a bath," Yuujin called out.

"Yay, bath time!"

Goku immediately ran over, and they went into the bathroom together.

Since Yuujin had practically raised Goku, they'd always eaten, slept, and bathed together. Soon, the sound of running water and Goku's giggles echoed from the bathroom.

"Hahaha…"

"That tickles, Yuujin!"

"Hahaha…"

In the kitchen, Bulma and Tights heard Goku's laughter, exchanged a look, and both shook their heads in mild exasperation...

Meanwhile—

Several kilometers away, a blue cat was watching their campsite through a telescope.

"Lord Yamcha, there's a money-making opportunity! A money-making opportunity!"

Lowering the telescope, the cat landed on the ground and excitedly called out to a young man inside.

The young man, with a handsome face and shoulder-length hair, was none other than the desert bandit Yamcha from Dragon Ball and his companion, Puar!

"Heh... some customers finally showed up."

"Let's get ready, Puar. Time to get to work!"

Yamcha stood up and said.

"Yes, Lord Yamcha!"
