Chapter 3 - The adventurers

Looking around they were in complete shock that they weren't dead Maverickcould still feel the cold grip of death that had once felt as if they were upon him start to recede. Looking around Maverick saw many people in all different types of armors and clothing gather.

"Look, there's the adventurers. They finally got back from their expedition in the dungeon!!!"

"Were saved"

Yelled people all through the crowd bringing back order to the chaos that had once consumed these people.

"Everyone get into spear formation!!" yelled the adventurer standing in all red armor in a tone so loud that they could hear it ring clear from a hundred yards away.

Looking at the other two in his arms Maverick had a sense of hope wash across him that they might be safe from the chaos that had been surrounding them out of no where.

"Are both of you alright." Maverick asked the other two after watching the adventurers fight in all their glory against the invading force that appeared to not be able to handle the massive onslaught of the adventurers or also known as the dungeon explorers.

"Y..Y…Yes." Vanesa said through the tears that were welling in her eyes processing everything that had just happened.

Looking at Scar Maverick could see she was going to stay as silent as ever and looked as if she was staring at something off into the distance. At something that wasn't there.

"Guys we need to figure out what to do now that Damian's gone." Maverick said knowing that they'd have to figure out how to get supplies now that Damian

"He's not dead!! We didn't see him die." Scar yelled, shocking Vanesa and Maverick.

….

Waking up Damian felt a pounding pain in his head. Remembering what had happened he couldn't believe that he was still alive after falling down so far and he hoped that the others made it out safe.

Looking around, Damian was shocked by the sight around him. He was surrounded by forest with no large pine trees ranging from 4-20 yards. Most surprising was the little wild life to be heard. The weirdest part of all was that these trees were purple bristled and black bark and the light was coming from these blinding stones on the ceiling as bright as the sun.

Thinking about where he could be Damian could only come up with that he must have fallen into the dungeon underneath the city. Which meant that he had to be on guard or else one of the many creatures in this place would be the end of him.

Knowing that he had no choice but to hopefully escape this place he headed out into a direction at random seeing that it would be better than waiting like a sitting duck.

'Little did our young fool realize what this place truly had planned for him…'
