As Jin was carrying Stella on his back, she suddenly woke in a dazed state. She looked around a moment feeling the breeze of the fresh air brushing against her skin, she looked up slightly seeing dark hair reminding her of how Jin's hair is this shade.
"J-Jin? Where am I…no, us?" She asked quietly, her eyes still blurred slightly.
"Don't worry, we're almost at the village we stopped at to pick up that … job, and I'll get a doctor to check you out to make sure you're okay." Jin said, seeing the village ahead of them. "Speaking of which, we're about to be at the village. Do you have the strength to walk?"
Stella in a daze still, "H-huh, oh… no." She said knowing she did have the strength, she just wanted this to last for a few more moments, while she felt embarrassed and bad for lying, she liked it, the feeling of Jin holding on to her. She wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes again.
Jin arrived in the village and went to the building that said clinic on it. "Can we get a doctor to check on her?" He said, looking around before seeing a young woman appear from a hallway. "Right this way." She said calmly looking at the girl on his back. "Has she ate anything recently?" She asked while they walked to a room with a bed in it next to a table of different pills, and some tools he had never seen before. "Around noon, I believe." Jin said, laying Stella down onto the bed slowly, "Stella, are you awake still?" Jin said, looking down at Stella.
Stella opening her eyes and looks up at Jin and the bright light hitting her above. "D-damn, I'm awake, jeez." She said, trying to cover her eyes from the light before her eyes adjusted to it.
"I'll begin some simple questions to see what happened to her to get into such a state. Actually, If you know anything about her, would you like to answer instead so I have a better understanding?"
"I think I know enough about her to answer some things." Jin said confused at the sudden event but continues.
"What's her name?"
"Stella."
"Do you know what blood type she is?"
"… I do not."
"Has anything like fainting happen randomly?"
"No ma'am."
"Do you know what caused this?"
"Well, we were here a while ago and got a clan quest to take out some wolves, so we went thinking it was normal wolves only. There, we met some sort of giant wolf. I've never seen one of those, so I'm not sure of the name. After a while of fighting and ending up winning, she was like this…"
"I see, you two had most likely ran into a "King Wolf" they're not very common, but some dens do have them."
The woman wrote everything down and asked for Jin to leave while she asked Stella some other questions and starts a few tests.
Jin, not sure where to go for now while waiting for Stella, decided to head towards the clan quest payout and explained everything. The person behind the counter had a team of agility based martial artists to go verify and pays him the 200 silver.
He went over to the blacksmith shop which was still opened, "There was a lady here earlier around 5'5 (165.1 cm), blue hair, and a pretty face, right?"
The blacksmith looked up at him, not recognizing who he was. "Who's asking?"
"My name is Jin, I'm her friend and I came by knowing this is where she got her last sword and was interested if she was looking at any different ones. I intend to buy it for her if I can."
The blacksmith looked at him up and down and sighed. "There was one blade she was looking at. It was this katana here." He pulled out the katana that Stella had been looking over earlier. "It'll be 70 silvers." He said sternly tone.
Jin without even thinking, handed over 70 silvers after counting and took the katana. He was walking out of the store and thought to himself, "70 Is quite a bit with how money is… but she saved my life while using everything she had. It was my fault this all happened, I just hope this is enough to repay my debts to her." He looked up as the sun was falling in the distance. "Just how long have we been gone for?"
Jin walked back into the clinic and walked to the room where Stella was in and knocked. "May I come in?" He asked softly in case Stella was asleep in there. The woman walked out and nodded her head before walking towards a different room. "I assume that's the doctor of this place?" He thought before walking in and slowly closing the door behind him.
"J-Jin? Are you okay?" Stella asked while looking at him, obviously worried.
"I'm fine, don't worry yourself at all. More importantly, are you okay?" Jin sat down next to the bed and sat the katana up next to the bed. Stella was more worried about Jin and didn't even notice the Katina he had placed next to her. She reached her hand out and put her hand up to his forehead for any heat of a possible fever. "O-oh, you don't have a fever… that's good." Stella said softly and smiled at him.
"I told you I didn't have one." Jin rolled his eyes slightly. "Whatever. I still had to make sure." Jin smiled at her words for a moment. "Enough about me, how are you? Did they run any tests, or give you any medicine?"
"She ran a few basic tests like checking if my blood had anything in it, and checking my pulse, but after not finding anything, she asked me to just rest for a little before doing anything physical."
Jin sighed of relief thinking something was wrong but turning out it was nothing whatsoever. "I'm glad." He said under his breath looking at her smiling, "I have something for you." Stella was confused for a moment before she sees him reach for something and grabs the katana she was eyeing earlier at the shop. "How? Why? W-what is this for?" She said, looking at him. "Stop stressing out Stella, it's a gift… or maybe a reward for saving my life back there using that fast thinking of yours." Jin looked over at the window and stared out. "Did she say when you can lea-" Before he could get those final words out, Stella suddenly wrapped her arms around him, hugging Jin. "Thanks… for the gift, and thank you for bringing me all the way here." She said before letting go of the hug and sitting back down. "No problem at all." Jin said before getting up and walking out for a moment, "I'll be back soon, I just remembered something."
Jin after closing the door. "W-what the hell. What was that for?" He said while having his hand up to his chest. "This feeling, It's the same as back at the clan when I first met her... What is this feeling?"
Stella sitting up on the bed smiling to herself but also felt embarrassed about what she randomly did on an impulse. She tried to regain her thoughts before hearing the door open, Jin walked back in and sat down again next to her.
After a few moments of an awkwardness, silence. "Did she say when you can leave?" Jin asked, looking over at Stella. "She said I can leave in the morning, but to stay here overnight in case anything changes at all." "Alright then, I'll go get us 2 rooms then." Jin said, standing up. Stella spoke up before he started to walk away, "H-how about only one room?" She asked, looking over at him. Stella began to bite her bottom lip a little, embarrassment ran across her face and blush had appeared as well.
Jin turned around to face her, "H-huh… what do you mean?" He said to her not knowing what else to say, looking over towards her. She turned her head away from him, "B-because we're low on money… that's all!" She said, hiding how flustered she was after it processed to her what she had actually said.
Jin opened the door and was heading out, "O-oh yeah… of course." He said, closing the door, and his eyes widen out of thinking other reasons. He calmed himself down quickly before leaving to the hotels to find a good one. Stella, in the room with her hands over her face in embarrassment… "G-God, w-what did I just say…" She said to herself out loud, biting her bottom lip still slightly. "M-maybe?" She thought to herself before staring out the window.
