She howled.
She howled as the love of her life closed his eyes.
She howled as she knew he wouldn't wake up.
Ever.
Blood everywhere-
Corpses too. An empty plain. Empty of living souls.
The orange sun was setting, the birds returning back home for one last time.
An end; the end of an age, and the end of the world.
After all, that thing was falling.
That big thing in the sky. So big, so crimson- so death.
Yet she,
The girl,
Didn't care.
After all, her love was in her arms.
Dead.
He would never taunt her, he would never stare longingly in her eyes, he would never make her mad… he was gone.
Tears streamed as she touched his hair one last time, "I'm so sorry…" She mumbled. "I'm so sorry… I said I wouldn't but-"
With a knife in hand, poised at her neck, she paused. Could she take it? Could she take her life? The life he fought so hard to protect? Damn it!
Runes.
Runes floated in the air.
White circle surrounded her; patterns of old.
Patterns she knew.
How could she not know?
After all, that's how she got to this world.
She'd jumped out of the state building, hoping to die. But instead, was whipped away to another world, and by the demon lord no less to become his pawn for war, to be his slave, his pet.
She wanted to leave. She wanted to run away. She wanted to kill herself, not live in a fairytale, and certainly not be the pet of a demon. Yet as time progressed, she loved the new world, the new life. But it was all gone now.
And yet, the very same circle was back? Was it trying to take her back to her own world? The world she desperately wanted to leave?
It's his… his last spell.
"Why now?" Her breath fumed- "WHY NOW?"
She glared at the fallen demon- her love- a faint smirk on that pale face of his. He was successful. The world was ending, but his love… she was still alive and she would soon return where she belonged.
"DAMN it!"
She glared- "No-" Breath erratic. She tore her necklace, crushed the mana gem within and-
The white circle turned red. Her blood slowly spilled out, dripping. Yet her gaze never withered.
"Let's see how you like this then!" Feet stomped, she rid herself from the bounds of her clothes. "I'm sorry, you'll just have to deal with it."
She didn't know if this'd work or not. No, she didn't care if it'd work or not. She was going to make it work- even if it meant offering her soul as fuel!
"Regress," the word came out.
The red light was tormenting; it tore through her flesh.
Yet.
She welcomed it.
Her glare- ever so sharp.
Her smile.
Ever so charming.
If this doesn't work, I'm dead.
Even if it did work… she was still probably going to die anyway. The light spread far and wide… and soon, everything, the whole world was engulfed.
