Chapter 29 - Deadly Weapon

"This is ridiculous!" The large elf pounded his fist on the table before the two. A loud thud resonated in an otherwise empty room. Some chatter on the outside but it was of no concern.

General Zodery stood there, her head hanging low. One elf stood next to her but unlike her, he wasn't even paying attention. He was too busy itching his ear, desperately searching for that eargasm. He just couldn't get enough of that feeling. That succulent, teasing, tickling delight-

"PUG!" The man screamed again.

"Yes, commander?" the man said, pulling something out of his ear, giving the man a half smile.

"Pay attention," he ground his teeth. "We've lost a war here!" A large vertical scar ran across his eyes, no pupils.

"Correction, we've lost a battle. The war is still ongoing. We haven't lost even one tenth of our army."

"Moral is low, it is no longer a matter of numbers," Zodery said.

"When someone's trying to help, just accept it," Pug mumbled, sighing. "From my perspective," his voice rose. "The war is far from over. We can always raise moral again. It's not that big of a deal."

"That means you have a plan?" The commander inquired.

"Of course. But I have concepts of a plan. Give me a week and-"

"Two hours. You have two hours. After that, you'll ride with Zodery and claim all their borderlands. Failure to do so will anger the high council even further. None of our heads will remain intact. Particularly, Zodery's. I believe she'll be sent to… the Breeches."

Pug's heart whimpered at the thought of that place. Ever since he was born, he was told of that place, he was explained the horrors, he knew just how treacherous it was… and he really didn't want to think about it. But it took him a second to glance at the woman next to him who'd gone tad pale and was sweating. But even then, she stood erect and was prepared to face her destiny.

Yeah, that's more like it. He himself sweated but smiled. "Alright then, consider it done; but not two hours, two days; or at the very least, till tomorrow morning."

The commander sighed. "You have till morning."

They walked outside.

"We're so going to die," Zodery said. "You're the worst strategist we've got."

"Yeah, because I'd rather spend my time with a gorgeous babe than screw in a sausage fest."

"Is that why you intentionally screw up?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Then… please don't screw up this time. I really don't want to go there."

"No one does…. And that's the plan."

***

The vast majority of elven soldiers were still in disarray. They'd made it back to a city. A city full of humans and mixed born. Sure, right now the two countries were in alliance and elves weren't treated as outsiders. But they were still outsiders and they were stressed. They could visit the brothels and as long as they paid, they could relieve some of that stress but even the courtesans weren't looking forward to their embrace, and the elves knew that.

Of course, that wasn't necessarily always the case. One elf was welcomed no matter where he went. Long dark hair, rather rare for elves. He wore blue silks and a turban to more or less hide his ears but they still poked out. His eyes drew in the beholder, so much so that even some men proposed to him on the street on first sight.

Most people who saw him, desired him.

Yet, the man paid a lady to spend time with him. One lady who stared at him but couldn't see him. Partially blind, the only lady in the whole city who didn't fall for him like the others….

"You're back again?" the woman, Ayna said. She sat modestly on the bed, fully dressed. No makeup.

The elf didn't like makeup.

"I'm leaving for a while," he said. "Might not be able to visit for months. So, I'm going to make this memorable for both of us," he said.

Some light, a rather decorated room. Stuffed with pleasant things and full of an enticing aroma.

"Or you can just buy me, so I can just be yours forever."

"You know I don't have that kind of money," he shrugged.

"I know you do."

He smirked, inched closer and bent down for a kiss. The lady kissed him, albeit a faint one on the lips, struck a sultry pose and fell on the bed, on her back. She outstretched her hands towards the man, inviting him.

He took it, he took it head on, and dived in. "I might die," he said, his fingers circling her blouse, right on the front button.

"I doubt that," she said.

"You have too much faith in me, perhaps another side effect."

Ayna snickered. "You peculiar, peculiar man… are you going to finish what you started in the morning?" she said, parting her legs, revealing her underwear, just enough for him to catch a glimpse.

"Yes, but first," he slid his tongue inside her mouth and caressed her cheeks, slowly treading down.

Soft, delicate. Welcoming.

He'd lain with women before. Various. Ever since he was young, women sought after him like flies seeking light. They used him, abused him, but never discarded him. Too precious to discard.

He knew how women tasted. He knew what they wanted and he knew-

Yet… this woman, this nearly blind woman… "Are you going to start or what?" She said, smirking, pouting.

He poised his tip, bent down for another kiss. "I told you, I'm going to make this the most memorable night of our lives."

"Sweetie, do you know how many men have said that- AH!"

The next day, the elven army marched again, this time, with renewed vigor and a new deadly weapon. An Arc mage.
