If there are any foreign Pokémon or strangers who come to steal things, the Pokémon will immediately gather to drive them away. If they can't drive them away, they will fight again.
Evan will instill this sense of duty in them now. He will guide them to establish their own worldview and teach them how to protect their surroundings. After all, these Pokémon are the ones Evan has high hopes for—they will become the future security guards of the orchard.
Security guards in the orchard—it's a great idea, isn't it?
Although Evan already keeps many Pokémon in his orchard, it still feels a bit quiet. This is mainly because Pikachu and the others aren't around. Only a few Pokémon are left, and even they are resting now. After training all day, they're tired.
Evan scratched his head. "Forget it," he thought. Business will grow in the future. As more Pokémon raised by others join this place, it will surely become lively. Everything is just beginning, and there's no need to rush.
When Evan returned from shopping, he let the Growlithe play by themselves and was about to eat when they returned. Falling from the sky, Gallade jumped down, and the Poké Balls in its arms opened one by one. Gardevoir and other Pokémon appeared beside Evan.
"Pika-pi!"
"Char~!"
"Garde~!"
"Pidgeot~~!"
Evan couldn't help but smile at their cheerful cries. His eyes then fell on Pidgeot.
"Not bad," he said. "Breakthrough?"
Pidgeot's feathers were in disarray, and some areas were even singed. Evan knew it must have made a breakthrough. Otherwise, it wouldn't look like this.
"Pidgeot~!" it chirped proudly, lifting its head high.
The next moment, it was ignored as Gardevoir hurried in front of Evan, holding a box from Gallade's hands.
"Master, this is for you," Gardevoir said, opening the box to reveal two Badges lying inside.
Evan sighed at the sight. "Alright, I'll take it. Come again next year."
He then turned to Pidgeot. "Come on, Pidgeot, come with me."
Evan carefully put the box away, accepting the Pokémon's thoughtful gift without hesitation.
Pidgeot eagerly followed Evan, and the other Pokémon's faces lit up with excitement at seeing the box accepted. Their efforts hadn't gone in vain.
Back inside, Evan placed the box in a safe spot before putting Pidgeot into the treatment machine and pressing the button to heal its injuries. Some burnt areas remained, as the machine couldn't completely restore those.
"Gardevoir, use Life Dew on Pidgeot's feathers," Evan instructed. "That will help it recover by tomorrow."
Gardevoir nodded and waved its hand, conjuring a ball of water that it gently patted onto Pidgeot. Life Dew not only restored injuries but also sped up feather regrowth, a very practical ability.
Feeling much better, Pidgeot let out a spirited chirp to Gardevoir.
"Beep~!"
"Thank you, Gardevoir! With this, my handsome look will be restored by tomorrow," Pidgeot chirped proudly, looking at its newly treated feathers.
Evan chuckled and shook his head. "Don't get too carried away," he teased.
After finishing up with his Pokémon, Evan stepped outside. "Alright, you all go ahead and start eating. I'm going to eat too," he said. With that, Evan turned and headed toward the orphanage.
Meanwhile, his Pokémon began to eat. They took out their energy cubes and started munching away. Evan didn't even need to feed them directly anymore—they were perfectly capable of solving their own food issues. Everyone understood that the energy cubes stored here belonged to them.
Not only Evan's Pokémon but even the wild Pokémon had access to the food. They went to the warehouse daily, where Machamp, acting as the security guard, had already moved the energy cubes. Everyone ate together, and sometimes there were even extra meals, especially when unqualified intermediate energy cubes made by Isla and the others were sent to the wild Pokémon.
If Evan took a closer look, he'd notice something remarkable—the wild Pokémon living here were gradually growing stronger. Some of them had reached advanced strength and were even beginning to approach Peak levels. They weren't just idly lingering—they actively worked to help maintain the orchards, flying or running around, effectively turning their tasks into daily exercise.
After dinner, Evan returned to the breeding house, took out his phone, and began surfing the internet.
Before long, he received a message from Sophia. Attached was a picture of her holding a dark blue shiny Munchlax.
Seeing the Pokémon in her arms, Evan couldn't help but smack his lips. "Seriously? She got a shiny Munchlax? That's insanely lucky… and expensive."
Evan texted back:
[How much did it cost?]
Sophia replied:
[Not too expensive—a mere hundred million Pokédollars for the group.]
Evan froze at the price. While he was wealthy now, compared to Sophia, he felt like a poor man.
A moment later, Sophia sent several more pictures.
Sophia:

[Here are the Mega Stones you wanted: Charizard X's and Pidgeot's.]
[Don't forget to pay me back!]
Evan's eyes lit up when he saw the photos. "That's amazing! This is a real surprise," he muttered.
Evan texted back:
[Alright, we'll settle up when you get back. By the way, are there any other auction items? Let me see if there's anything I need.]
As he waited for her reply, Evan wondered if he should've gone to the auction himself. It seemed like there were many valuable items. However, the thought of traveling to another Alliance felt too troublesome, so he decided to let someone else handle it.
Sophia soon responded with a list of potential items.
Sophia:

[These might be auctioned tomorrow.]
[The auction started today and lasts for three days. If there's anything you need, just let me know, and I'll bid on it for you.]
Evan enlarged the images and began reviewing them carefully. His eyes widened when he saw a Mega Stone as large as a baby's fist.
"This is incredible," he thought.
