Violet nodded but didn't say anything.

Instead, she sat there quietly, her thoughts seemingly elsewhere.

Evan quickly sent out a list of tree berries and the required quantities. Simultaneously, he contacted fruit dealers, instructing them to deliver the goods promptly that afternoon.

Evan had an efficient system. He divided orders among several suppliers, ensuring fairness. It could be said that everyone benefited equally. For other necessary items, Evan consolidated orders with a single dealer. After all, the prop dealer in town had no competitors, and their prices were fair. Otherwise, Evan wouldn't have continued cooperating with them.

Once he finalized the orders, Evan remembered something else. He sent another request, this time for as many evolutionary stones as could be found on the market. Fire Stones were a particular priority since several Pokémon in his hatchery still required them. He also requested some Leaf Stones. Evan didn't mind evolving the wild Pokémon in his backyard to their final forms—it made them more useful, after all.

After completing all the orders, Evan sighed with relief. Just as he was about to resume talking to Violet, a middle-aged couple walked in.

Seeing them, Evan was intrigued. "Welcome to the Hope Breeding House," he greeted warmly. "How can I help you?"

Violet also looked over, curious about the visitors. Without a word, she stood up and fetched a disposable cup to pour water for the guests.

The middle-aged couple scanned the room, their eyes lingering on the certificates and patents displayed on the walls. They exchanged a nod before the man spoke.

"May I ask," he began, "do you have any starter Pokémon here? We're looking to buy one for our child."

Evan's eyes lit up. "Starter Pokémon? Would a Pokémon egg work?"

"If it's an egg, I have some here. They've been professionally certified and are very healthy," he said, gesturing for the couple to sit down.

Violet returned with warm water, placing it in front of the guests before sitting beside Evan, quietly observing the interaction.

"An egg, huh? That could work," the man replied hesitantly, considering the idea. After a moment, he nodded slightly, intrigued.

Evan continued, "These eggs were just delivered not long ago. My breeding house is newly opened, so the eggs haven't had time to hatch yet. But you can rest assured about their quality. They've all been professionally appraised and registered with the Pokémon Alliance. If you need a certificate, I have it right here."

Evan reached into the drawer beneath the coffee table and retrieved a stack of documents. He placed them on the table, explaining, "These were provided by my supplier when he delivered the eggs. They include the identification certificates."

The couple looked over the papers, their expressions relaxing as they confirmed the authenticity of the certifications.

"So, what types of Pokémon do you have?" the man asked, glancing at Evan, now clearly interested.

As he finished speaking, the woman added, "We've been to a few breeding houses already, but we haven't found the right Pokémon." She sighed lightly before continuing, "We were planning to head to the next city, but when we saw your sign, we decided to stop by."

She explained their reasoning, making it clear they were walk-in customers who noticed the sign while passing through.

Evan thought to himself, A wild guest? That's always a pleasant surprise.

He nodded and began to clarify, "I currently have six Pokémon eggs available for sale. They include Trapinch, which evolves into the Dragon and Ground-type Flygon. Then there's Clefairy, Golduck—which hatches from Psyduck's egg—Seel, Rookidee, and Houndour."

He gestured towards the couple. "If any of these interest you, I can take you to the egg hatching house to see them."

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged couple's expressions lit up with excitement.

"Trapinch?" the man asked, his voice suddenly filled with enthusiasm. "Are you serious? You have Trapinch eggs?"

Evan nodded. "Yes, I do. It seems you're particularly interested in this one. If you'd like, I can take you to see the egg and its certification."

The man's excitement was palpable as he exchanged a quick glance with his wife. "That would be great!" he said eagerly.

Evan picked up the documents on the table and gestured for them to follow him. The couple quickly rose from their seats. Violet, who had been planning to stay behind to keep an eye on the shop, noticed Isla stepping out to manage the front. Deciding to join in, Violet followed the group to satisfy her curiosity about the hatching house.

Once inside, Evan carefully pulled out the certificates for the Trapinch eggs. Each egg had a corresponding number etched on its shell, which matched the official certificates in his possession. He showed the couple the documentation, explaining, "These certificates are issued by the Pokémon Alliance. You can even verify these numbers on the official website. All of these eggs are certified and legal."

The couple inspected the documents with approving nods, clearly reassured by the thorough paperwork. After taking a closer look at the Trapinch eggs, the man turned to Evan and asked directly, "What's the price for one?"

Evan's confidence grew. This deal is as good as done.

"The price is one million," Evan said without hesitation. "Since Trapinch is a Dragon type, it's relatively expensive compared to other eggs. Most other eggs here are priced between 700,000 and 800,000, but Dragon types naturally command a higher price."

He added calmly, "In fact, this is a very reasonable offer. In many other breeding houses, Trapinch eggs can go for as much as 1.1 million or more."

The man seemed delighted, his eyes lighting up at the quote. "That's a very fair price," he said with a smile. "I'll take one! My daughter's Starter Pokémon is finally within reach."

The joy in his voice was unmistakable. It was clear that finding this Pokémon egg was a dream come true for the family.
