Evan looked at his Pokémon, particularly his Gardevoir.

The Pokémon in the daycare were all trained under Gardevoir's guidance, diligently helping Evan manage the place. Usually, there wasn't any need for Evan to step in, making his life as a trainer much more relaxed.

"Gardevoir," he said, addressing his loyal partner. "I have a task for you starting tomorrow."

Hearing this, Gardevoir tilted its head, curiosity evident in its posture. What is it? it asked telepathically.

Evan cleared his throat and glanced at Charmeleon and Pikachu. "Tomorrow, take Pikachu, Charmeleon, and Lurantis with you," he began, his tone growing more serious. "I need you to challenge all the Pokémon in the forest nearby. Teach them not to trespass on our territory anymore. Let them understand who's in charge here."

The room fell silent as his Pokémon processed his words.

Even Gardevoir seemed momentarily stunned. Evan, are you upset with the wild Pokémon? it asked. Isn't this a bit…extreme?

Gardevoir's hesitation was clear. It didn't seem entirely convinced. They haven't done anything to us, it reasoned. Why pick a fight with them?

Still, a strange eagerness flickered in Gardevoir's mind, though it couldn't quite explain the feeling.

Evan coughed awkwardly and explained, "You saw what happened today, didn't you? And the trouble we had with that flock of Spearow last week? If Pokémon keep wandering in uninvited, it's going to cause problems. We need to establish some order. Defeat them, and they'll respect you. Once that happens, we can work together."

He continued, "Afterward, we can offer energy cubes as a reward for their cooperation. They'll see it's worth working with us rather than against us."

At that moment, Gallade entered the room, having just finished some chores. It overheard Evan's plan and couldn't suppress an exasperated groan. This is getting out of hand, Gallade thought, shaking its head.

Charmeleon and Pikachu exchanged confused glances, unsure of how to feel about this unusual plan.

"Your job," Evan reiterated, "is to defeat all the Pokémon in the forest. Pikachu, Charmeleon, Lurantis—you're the main team. Once the battles are over, distribute the energy cubes to the defeated Pokémon. Show them we're fair but firm. If they want to challenge us, let them—just make sure they understand who's in charge."

Evan smiled confidently. "Trust me, with food on the table, they'll fall in line."

After some thought, Gardevoir reluctantly agreed. Alright, let's do it, it said. But we should gather everyone in one place to avoid searching for them one by one.

"Good idea," Evan replied. "We'll have Pidgeotto and Beedrill spread the word and gather the forest Pokémon. Let's meet at the clearing where Gallade fought earlier. It's a good spot for this kind of event."

Gallade sighed again but said nothing.

With plans in motion, Gardevoir started organizing the effort. Pidgeotto and Beedrill were tasked with spreading the message to their respective flocks and inviting all nearby Pokémon to participate in what Gardevoir proudly dubbed the "World's Best Wild Pokémon Conference."

What a name indeed.

Gardevoir nodded in agreement, expressing how great the plan sounded.

As the Pokémon busied themselves arranging the details for tomorrow, the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the daycare. The children from the nearby orphanage returned from school, their energy uncontainable as they dropped their schoolbags and ran straight to the breeding house.

They eagerly joined Kirlia and the other Pokémon, playing and laughing together. Some of the kids surrounded Evan, pestering him with endless chatter. Tomorrow was Saturday, meaning no school, and their excitement was palpable. Each child seemed more overjoyed than the last.

Evan held a little girl in his arms, his voice gentle as he asked the kids about their day at school. "Did everything go okay? Nobody bullied you, right?"

One boy shrugged. "Being bullied isn't a big deal," he said, brushing it off. "But what I really envy are the kids who bring Pokémon to school. Brother Evan, some of my classmates already have Poké Balls! Their dads gave them Pokémon to protect themselves."

Hearing this, Evan raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Really? Are parents these days that concerned?"

The boy nodded, his tone filled with frustration. "Yeah, but their Pokémon don't even listen to them. They just stand there, doing nothing but stare. It's like they're just bodyguards."

Evan stifled a laugh at his exasperation. "So, they're just there for show," he mused, finally understanding the parents' reasoning. "The Pokémon are meant to act only if there's real danger. That makes sense, I guess."

Another child, Luna, tugged at Evan's sleeve. "Brother Evan, can I bring a Pokémon to school on Monday? I want to take Lululian!"

"Kirlia," Evan corrected with a chuckle. "And no, you can't take a Pokémon to school."

Luna pouted. "But why not? If they can, why can't I?"

Evan sighed, patting her head. "Even if I let you take one, you're different from them. The Pokémon here actually listen to you. What happens if someone dares you to do something, and Kirlia listens? That could cause trouble."

He thought back to how much the daycare Pokémon adored the children. They were so familiar with the kids that even wild Pokémon occasionally followed the children's orders, despite them not knowing the names of many moves.

When Evan refused, the children's faces fell, disappointment written all over them.

"Alright, don't be upset," Evan said quickly. "When you're older, I'll make sure each of you has your own Pokémon. But for now, how about this? If you come back with good grades, I'll let you take a Pokémon to school for one day. Deal?"

The children's disappointment vanished, replaced by shouts of excitement.

"Really?!"

"Brother Evan, you promised! You can't take it back!"

"Best day ever!"

The sheer joy on their faces made Evan smile.

"Okay, okay," he said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "But for now, let's all eat dinner and finish your homework. Tomorrow, Pikachu and the others will face off against some wild Pokémon. You can come watch if you behave."

With cheers echoing in the air, the kids ran off to prepare for dinner, their excitement spilling over into plans for tomorrow.
