The Bonds of Power: A Family's Strength
Hana looked at her mother and asked, "Mom, why do the other villagers and their children hate us? Why don't they ever play with us?"
Kushina sighed and said, "Dear, I wish that night had never happened, and that your father was still here with us. But it did, and no one talks to us or dislikes us because of it. When you both turn twelve, I'll tell you the truth about that night, my dear."
Naruto, trying to comfort her, spoke up, "Mom, don't worry. We'll never hate you. We'll always be by your side. And if no one wants to marry Hana, I'll marry her and live a happy life, just like you wish. And if you want, I can even marry you." He smiled, causing both Kushina and Hana to tear up, a small smile appearing on their faces.
Hana and Kushina hugged him, Hana sobbing quietly as Kushina smiled, relieved that Naruto was ready to accept them, no matter what happened.
Kushina whispered, "I wish we could have a happy, normal family life like everyone else, but I'm happy with both of you, Naruto and Hana." She gazed out the window at the sky, her thoughts drifting. "Minato, our son has grown up to be such a good person—happy and strong. And our daughter, though a bit naughty and spoiled at home, is distant from others outside. She hides her feelings."
She turned back to Naruto and Hana, who were still in her arms. "Alright, alright, you two go wash up and come back for dinner. I made your favorite, Shoyu Ramen."
The savory aroma of the soy-based broth filled the air as the noodles were served with tender slices of pork belly, boiled eggs, green onions, and nori. Naruto and Hana's mouths watered at the smell as they sat down at the table, eagerly picking up their chopsticks.
Kushina paused, then said, "Wait a minute, dear. I made a side dish too. Let me grab it for you." After a short while, she returned with Agedashi Tofu, golden and crispy, resting in a fragrant soy-based broth, topped with green onions and bonito flakes.
They enjoyed their meal, laughing and chatting about their day. Afterward, they went to their rooms. Naruto called out to Hana, "Hana, do you have time before bed?"
Hana replied with a smile, "Yes, onii-chan. I always have time for you."
Naruto grinned. "You know, we need to cultivate our chakra to use our ninjutsu and jutsu, right? I was thinking we should secretly train in the forest, away from everyone else, so we can become strong and protect Mom."
Hana thought for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, onii-chan! Let's do it! But where should we train?"
Naruto smiled, "Let's go to Training Ground 7. We'll cultivate our chakra and nature energy, and master jutsu. I love you and Mom, so I need to make sure everyone in our family is happy and safe."
Hana beamed. "Okay, onii-chan. Let's train at night, and during the day, we'll live like normal."
Naruto smiled and patted her head, feeling proud of her like a little cat.
What neither of them realized was that someone had overheard their conversation. Kushina, who had come to tell them a bedtime story, had quietly listened from the doorway. A small, proud smile appeared on her face. She knocked lightly. "Did you two fall asleep, or should I tell you a bedtime story tonight?"
When no answer came, she opened the door to find them in bed. She sighed with a smile, "You both grew up so well, huh? Looks like I need to train both of you."
She quietly left the room, using Shadow Clone Jutsu to leave behind a clone as she made her way to Training Ground 7. As she observed them training under the moonlight, she smiled again, content that her children were so determined to protect their family.
