This golden gate was big—so big that it could reach the height of the castle's lowest tall tower.
Just being compared to this fantastical castle was an honour for any creation. But the supreme overlord personally made this gate THEMSELF.
Simply seeing the magnificent gate and the beautiful carvings on it was a dream come true for the monarchs.
There were a few depictions on this magnificent castle, and THEY had carved certain parts on it with beautiful scenes.
Witnessing it being created for the first time was enough to bring tears to the monarchs' eyes.
-Ooooooooooooong!
Everyone was already outside, watching the creation of the first gate, the [Gate of Hope], with tear-filled eyes.
The giant gate hovered in the sky for a while, and the details on its surface became clearer with each moment of their overlord's disappearance…
-Zaaaaaaaa…
In the end, THEY sent the gate to the far northern side of the castle, and when it settled down at the very outer edge of the castle, things calmed down for a bit.
-Ooooooooooooong!
After the first, it was time for the second gate, which would have a will of its own.
-SWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH!
A [Will] was the ability to think independently or the passion that all life is bound to. Creating something with a will was an accomplishment that defied the natural order.
No one could create perfect artificial life on their own. Life was sacred and Natural, and if someone succeeded in creating it, they were as close to godhood as one could be.
Even some actual gods could not create life, as it required rare materials and years of research.
A will, therefore, was sacred, and creating a Complete one meant a step toward divinity.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish!
The first creation THEY made that contained a complete will was THEIR dragon, and it was also the last thing THEY had ever created—until today, that is.
Yuri was THEIR masterpiece, and nothing, including these gates, would ever come close to that adorable being.
But these gates were still THEIR creations, crafted by the supreme overlord who had reached a level no one else had or might. And so, witnessing the creation of a gate with a will was a phenomenon in itself.
-Oooooooooooooooong!
The second gate, the [Gate of Opportunity], descended from the sky.
This gate was a magnificent white door with purple chains wrapped around its panels.
Its pure white surface was inscribed with ancient runes and symbols of the celestial language THEY had created THEMSELF.
At the top right of this door was a golden bell, the very core of this will.
As monarchs of higher planes, they could read their lord's language inscribed on the gate and see the name engraved upon it: [Mavis].
It was a name filled with pure magic, and something unexpected was written alongside it: [She will choose equally].
This single line was enough to bring warmer tears to the monarchs' eyes.
They all understood the significance of equal opportunity. As individuals who had been through discrimination all their life and suffered because of their unique natures, the existence of this gate was the same as the existence of the one that made them what they are today.
-Zaaaaa…
This gate was meant to bring everyone with exceptional potential in any field here. Be it swordsmanship, magic, literature, or simple skills like farming or mining, this gate would find the deserving and bring them to this place to hone their talents.
But THEY had also written something else that gave weight to the line above: [If she fails once, the same mistake won't happen again].
The ability to learn.
This was incredible in itself—a will that could learn and grow from its past experiences.
"Magnificent…"
It was easy to know when this unique Gate would make a mistake, as the first monarch would oversee its workings, ensuring even greater accuracy.
The movements of fate's threads and ever changing Flow of Tomorrow gave weight to the existence of this Purple creation as well.
-Oooooooooooooooong!
Just like the golden gate of hope, this gate was also a work of art, and the purple chains on its handle were forged from a special metal crafted by Sir Axiom, a metal strong enough to endure even the eruptions of stars.
These chains were unique and possessed the ability to extend indefinitely.
This meant that if someone was unwilling, they couldn't refuse this door; they had to come here first and then decide whether to join the academy.
They might not know what they were meant to do but the gates will know. And they will make sure those individuals realise it as well.
-Swash.
Though forcing anyone was a critical measure, it was better suited for those timid or who had lost hope.
Such individuals might despair even if given a chance. Thus, this method was more accurate, and THEY knew it full well.
-Ooooooooooooooooong!
The pure white gate vanished into blue particles, and the magic circle above everyone began to shrink.
Mavis would seek out the worthy, the needed, and those who yearned for a chance.
Before them now, however, was something entirely different—a purple gate encircled by dark green chains.
-OOOOOOOOOOOONG…!
This gate had fewer carvings and designs, but the dark blue gem on its door was mesmerising, almost alive and breathing. One could sense life within it.
This was extraordinary, yet if one thought of the creator of this magnificent final creation, they'd know its mythical nature was entirely possible.
This gate possessed a will that not only thought and learned from mistakes, but also discerned right from wrong.
It harboured emotions of bravery, love, and protection, and was even stronger than the previous gate.
The power infused in this gate could rival some of the monarchs themselves, a testament to the creator's strength in making something equal to the monarchs.
The creation of this gate was faster and when completed, it vanished just after they finished reading its carvings.
Once more, however, it was unbelievable and almost shocking for some.
[{( "WE will be back, soon." )}]
[Guardian] was the name THEY gave this purple gate, and the words written on it were intended for more than just the monarchs: [Having another guardian is never a bad thing].
This home of theirs would be a school, and many new stars would shine here.
No one knew what might happen here, and the monarchs couldn't always be present. So, this powerful entity, these purple gates, could protect everyone while all of them were away.
[{( "Punarmilāmi." )}]
With this, the magic circle in the sky disappeared, and a fresh path to the core plains connecting all fifteen realms opened, marking the supreme overlord's departure.
-ZAAAAAAAAAA…
Bearing their sorrow and anticipation of their quick return, the monarchs began to move.
There was much to do, and the sudden appearance of this mysterious gate would stir great chaos in their worlds.
They would need to recruit teachers, students, and workers and gather enough personnel to bring about significant changes out of this grand realm of riches…
Though their lord had technically passed today, this was the founding day of [Origin Academy of Dawn], a place where one could learn nearly anything.
This wasn't an occasion to mourn a loss, but rather, a joyous festival that should be celebrated with great enthusiasm!
