Nishikawa, as usual, completed his classes dozing off and quickly went to the volleyball gym. Coach Washijo ran towards him. "Go and change into training clothes," Coach Washijo said. Nishikawa nodded and went to the locker room.
Coach Washijo called the middle schoolers and said, "There is a week until the Miyagi Prefecture Middle School Tournament. Training will be doubled." Everyone had a look of despair.
"Nishikawa, come with me," Coach Washijo commanded. "Spike with all your strength!"
"Okay," Nishikawa said with a blank expression.
Coach Washijo set the ball higher than when Kenta settled it. Nishikawa started running and jumped with all his might. A BOOMM!! resounded as if a bomb had fallen. He then swung his arm insanely fast. A thunderous BOMM! erupted louder than yesterday. The ball hit the ground and bounced very little.
Coach Washijo was utterly shocked, as this wasn't a level a middle schooler should be at. 'He might be the strongest player if carefully nurtured,' Coach Washijo thought.
A player went to take the ball and was utterly shocked. The ball had no air. "COACH!! The ball has no air!" "How can the ball have no air? It clearly had air when I settled it."
Everyone looked at Nishikawa as if what he just did was inhumane. He took another ball and started practicing serves. He created his own technique of serving.

One week later
The Shiratorizawa team was boarding the bus to
The stadium. The first match was against Kitagawa Daiichi.
Kenta was serving first. He did a normal serve, which the other team's libero caught and passed to the setter, who set it for their wing spiker. The wing spiker spiked it down, but our libero, Sashashi Naru, sent it to Kenta, who set it high. Kitagawa Daiichi players thought the setter must have made a mistake.
"Nishikawa!! Nishikawa!!, Nishikawa!!" The cheers grew louder. Nishikawa started running and jumped, spiking the ball.
"YEAHHH!!!!" The cheers grew louder. The match continued with Shiratorizawa crushing Kitagawa Daiichi.
Kitagawa players left with depressed expressions. They didn't expect this kind of one-sided game.
