As the two brothers led the way, they traveled for a while. When they were in the middle of their walk, Joshua saw that the canopy of the forest was still covering the way.
"Carl, is it still far?" He asked, feeling the warmth of the sun hitting his face.
Karl, speaking on behalf of his brother, replied, "Yes, we're nearly there. In just a few more minutes, we will reach our destination."
Joshua just nodded his head as he glanced back and saw John still following behind. As he glanced forward, he noticed something and stopped in his tracks.
Arthur, seeing his unusual behavior, asked, "Is there something wrong? Why did you stop?"
He didn't answer as Joshua looked back again. John, who had already lifted his head and seen his gaze, was shaking with fear again.
"Am I going to get beaten up again?" he whimpered inwardly.
Arthur and the two men also glanced back from his gaze, but there was nothing there, making them puzzled.
