There was a loud commotion outside—how could the people inside not know about it?
Heishi, Mary, Log, and the others huddled in the corner, peering out. As they caught sight of a large number of policemen surrounding the area, panic set in.
This wasn't like yesterday when they had been firing at the police with AKs without a care.
The roles had reversed; now the police were ready to fully encircle them.
What should they do?
"Fake it, what else can we do? Fight back!" one of them shouted.
"Where's Saul? Why hasn't he come back yet?"
"Who knows? He must be stuck outside!"
"Damn it, how did the police find this place?"
While chaos erupted among Heishi and the others, Sean and his team outside remained calm.
"Are you still shouting?" Sean asked, turning his head.
"Of course we have to shout; it's the rule," Wells replied, glancing at the camera. He waved his hand and said, "Listen, people inside, you are surrounded! Please surrender immediately!"
His shouting was loud, but it barely carried beyond a few feet. After repeating the message three times, Wells set down the loudspeaker, which he hadn't even turned on. "Mr. Polly Chad, you want to testify against me? I really yelled!"
"Of course, of course!" Polly Chad nodded with a grin.
"Then let's attack!" Sean commanded. Polly Chad's eyes widened as he noticed the pickup truck that had just mounted an M60 machine gun, now reinforced with steel plates on the windshield.
"What the—?" Polly Chad stammered, momentarily speechless.
Despite its unappealing modifications, the pickup truck had transformed into something resembling a makeshift tank. He noticed the bumper was thicker than normal, and the engine roared with a deep, powerful sound—definitely not just a standard pickup.
With a loud 'buzz', two pickups charged forward. The gunner in the back opened fire indiscriminately, bullets flying in every direction.
The pickup trucks screeched to a stop in front of the abandoned textile factory, the machine gunners using them as shields while unleashing a barrage of gunfire.
It didn't matter that they couldn't see the enemy; they were determined to draw them out by saturating the area with bullets.
Taking advantage of the covering fire, the team from X Security Company swiftly moved toward the factory. If they could locate the gangsters inside, it would spell doom for them.
Heishi and his group weren't about to sit idly by. Gritting their teeth, they raised their AKs and began to return fire. To their dismay, their bullets bounced harmlessly off the reinforced pickup. With visibility restricted to just a few meters, it felt hopeless.
Even the car doors were lined with bulletproof steel, effectively sealed shut!
The machine gunners set up improvised barricades, much like those used in World War II. Unless someone had sniper-level accuracy, they stood no chance of hitting the gunners.
To make matters worse, revealing their positions only invited a relentless hail of bullets in return.
With a rate of fire reaching 600 rounds per minute, the ammo belts were fully loaded, making reloading unnecessary.
In just three minutes, under Craigie Wright's guidance, the team entered the factory from three different sides. Using their intercom system, they quickly relayed information to the pickup trucks.
Suddenly, the pickup truck lowered its machine gun, reversed a bit, then slammed on the gas, crashing into the factory wall. The impact was massive.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Polly Chad shouted, clutching his head. The X Security personnel were too aggressive; they were actually using a pickup truck like a tank!
Now he understood the purpose of that outrageous bumper.
The pickup truck barreled into the building, playing the role of an infantry-tank hybrid alongside the security team.
"Tactics?" Sean said with a smirk. "The tactic is to just push through!"
"What are you waiting for? We need to move before we lose the momentum!" Sean nudged Wells with his elbow.
Wells snapped out of his daze, ignoring Sean's impatience. He picked up the loudspeaker and yelled, "Go, go, go!"
The gangsters were already rattled; if they didn't charge in now, when would they?
The police, fueled by adrenaline, formed a battle line and advanced, firing as they moved. Their spirits were high, projecting an image of bravery and determination.
How could they not be fearless? While the gunfire echoed like a battlefield, it was merely an internal struggle within the factory, one that had nothing to do with the police.
"I surrender! I surrender!" Heishi shouted, his gun raised above his head as he leapt out in desperation.
But as soon as he emerged, a burst of blood erupted from his head, and his body crumpled to the ground with a thud. A nearby sniper had made the shot, leaving no one alive to escape.
"What did he just call out?" Sean pointed, but Heishi's name was insignificant to him now.
"Didn't you hear?!" Polly Chad replied quickly, shrugging his shoulders.
"Maybe he surrendered, but it was a bit too late," Wells said, his face reflecting regret. "He only got to shout one word before that stray bullet hit him."
"That's such a shame," Sean sighed.
As Heishi fell, other gangsters hiding in different spots began to shout their own surrenders. However, they remained oblivious to what had just happened. The noise of gunfire drowned out their pleas, and one by one, they too were cut down without mercy.
When the police finally stormed in, it felt like a well-rehearsed drill. Commands rang out, punctuated by the sounds of gunfire, creating a scene of organized chaos.
In terms of morale, the police were formidable!
This became evident from the aftermath...
Bill and the others quietly withdrew, leaving the battlefield to the police while discreetly taking a box of videotapes labeled "textbooks" with them.
This was something that couldn't be seen by just anyone.
"Manager Polly, are you satisfied?" Sean asked with a smile, glancing at Polly Chad.
"Very good! Quite combative, and definitely intimidating," Polly Chad replied, his praise genuine. The makeshift tank had proven its worth. "If you entrust us with your bank's security, we'll ensure there's never a repeat of yesterday's chaos. We'll bolster the barriers at the entrance so that gangsters won't even dream of getting through."
Taking advantage of the moment, Sean began his pitch. "Additionally, if you let us handle your cash escort services, we'll use armored vehicles with machine gunners onboard. With that setup, I doubt any robbers could ever steal money from us."
He extended his hand, not giving Polly Chad a chance to object. "And all of this won't cost much more than your current security measures."
