Chapter 32 - Chapter 33:Interlude 3.

If there is one word that can describe the Necrolimbo area, it is certainly chaos.

Since the death of Godrick and subsequent takeover by the current leader Nepheli Loux, Necrolimbo has been plagued by civil wars, Caelid invasions and external interference from Liurnia.

Thanks to all of the above, this area of the Midlands has become an explosive cocktail and a no man's land.

"Finley, it's good to see you again... You can all leave."

Resting her body on a golden throne that is obviously not made for humans, a dark-skinned, dark-haired young woman who dresses regally speaks loudly.

She is Nepheli Loux, who rises to the highest rank in Necrolimbo, after being selected by Kenneth and supplanting him as regent of these lands.

"We can't allow you."

"Out I said!"

The former regal atmosphere, which blended perfectly with her womanly charms disappears after her shout, revealing a terrifying fierceness.

Not for nothing they call her "The Warrior", Nepheli looks ready to pull out one of her axes from somewhere and plunge it into someone's skull.

"Got it!"

Standing watching them depart until they finally left the room, the oppressive feeling on Nepheli's part begins to subside and she's back to the way she was at the beginning.

"Good performance, I almost believed it even."

Laughing briefly at Nepheli's actions, the only one here present, formerly named Finley, removed the helmet she had been wearing since the beginning and opened her mouth.

Through the lack of the helmet, which belongs to the Knight Imputrescible set, her beautiful face can be seen. She gives off an aura of a mature woman, with her white skin, light eyes and black hair with red-stained strands.

"I wish it was an act. They're a bunch of cowards, that goes for the first to the last."

"Necessary cowards, if I might add."

Watching a thin smile spread across Finley's face as he spoke, Nepheli could only shake his head at the humorous tastes of his now companion.

"Tsk, you're absolutely right. You think I don't know everything you do and don't do, you bunch of fools... Ahhh! Damn it, give me what I asked for."

"There goes your whole performance, Kenneth is going to be pissed again. Well, here you go, enjoy it because it's the last one I have left."

Ignoring the rather suggestive pose that a lady shouldn't take, Finley only briefly teases Nepheli and then throws a bottle at her.

"This is life! Not that fruit juice Kenneth makes me drink!"

"I'm sure it's wine from the upper social classes. Besides, how did you know it had these precious ones?"

Stealing the bottle of the magical cocktail called alcohol from Nepheli's hands, he takes a couple of swigs, before Finley at last realizes the weirdness of the situation and asks about it.

"You call it wine, I call it fruit juice. Oh, about how I noticed you had these... Well, you remember a month ago you got a letter and got drunk."

"Don't tell me you"

"Hahaha yeah, I saw you. I still remember how you were crying and complaining about why he woke up after you left, also how you were banging on the table and throwing the bottles towards "

"Stop, stop, stop, stop, I get it!"

Quickly stopping Nepheli, who lives up to being a denizen of the Wastelands. That is to say, totally free, straight with words and without any reservations, Finley can only give up.

Satisfied that she has shattered the image of a mature woman around Finley, the atmosphere around Nepheli changes and the whole room becomes extremely serious.

"Now speak up, I'm sure you didn't come just for the laughs, as it's still daylight."

"Here you go, a letter arrived from Leyndell."

Taking the letter thrown by Finley, as if it were a shuriken, Nepheli's face turns serious just like the first one.

"Surprising..."

"What are you surprised about? You're an ally, it was obviously going to communicate with you at some point."

"Oh, not that. What's surprising is that you didn't open it."

"Who do you think I am!"

"The one who was screaming that she was going to do her great feat of running from Caelid to Leyndell again, all while bathing in alcohol!"

Yes, it wasn't enough for him to trash Finley's image just once, but Nepheli comes back on the attack with everything and more.

"Fuck you and open the letter the fuck up!"

"Fuck me, no... But, maybe Aldrich wants to do it for me?"

As he finishes his words of mockery, just then Nepheli falls on what he has said and as a consequence, fine beads of sweat fall down his forehead.

Not for pleasure, but Finley's dark face and increasingly dark red hair make the room suffocating.

"What did you say?"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it was just a joke. You know that, Finley. Where one eats, two can eat."

"You, you, you, you..."

"What, did you think I was going to quit?

Anyone could feel how heavy the atmosphere is, even a knife could cut through it from how thick it is from the clash of these two.

"Open the damn letter."

"Hahaha, fine, fine."

Tearing open the letter envelope without any finesse, Nepheli's eyes move up and down and a smile grows on her face.

"And what does the letter say?"

"Very good news."

Putting on a nasty smile towards Finley, the wind swirls in Nepheli's brown palm and the letter is blown to smithereens.
