Chapter 2 - We go gym

I sat cross legged on my bed, eyes closed, focusing on the warmth in my stomach. I tried to move it, it barely shifted, it was lethargic of sorts, as if a heavy object was tied to my chakra. I took a deep breath, forcefully pushing the warmth. I tried over and over, until, my chakra burst out, like a broken dam.

I had vast amounts of chakra, my bedsheets were literally rippling with each pulse of chakra. I frowned before I reigned it back in, 'I wouldn't be surprised if someone was sent to my location to check on the sudden burst of chakra'. I sigh as I ran my hand through my hair before flopping on my bed.

I closed my eyes, feeling a second chakra source, I tried tapping into it then my conscience slipped. When I opened my eyes I was in a sewer, I looked at my feet, somehow standing on water, 'I know how, but that doesn't change the fact that it's weird', I thought as I lifted my feet up and down on the water, eventually, I decided to walk through the sewer.

I walked for quite a bit before coming across a gigantic cage, by gigantic I meant gigantic. It had to have been at least 20-40 meters big, something big lurked within. It's eye was bigger than me, I stepped forward with curios eyes. "Woah", I mutter unconsciously.

A deep voice then spoke, "Decided to pay a visit then?", it scoffs "took you long enough". I meanwhile, couldn't help but stare, I eventually broke out my stupor. "Hi, I'm Naruto, what's your name?"

The beast snorts "I have no need for a useless conversation with a brat", and just like that, I was kicked out of my own mindscape, I sighed as I was back on my bed, I knew it wouldn't be easy.

I got up and left the apartment, searching for leaves, a while later, I had tons of leaves and came back home. I then began doing the Chakra control exercise, it was about keeping the leaf sticked to you using chakra.

TS:1 week later

I had gotten down my chakra control, I decided it's time to practice the transformation jutsu. 'Alright, imagine what or who you want to be and do the seals'.

**Rat**>**Tiger**>**Boar**,a poof rang through the room, after the smoke disapaited, I stood there, a bit taller, an average face with short brown hair and glasses, I wore a generic shirt and black pants with some boots. 'not bad, not bad indeed'.

I stretched a bit before leaving and walking up to a random civilian, a friendly smile on my face, "Hi! I'm new to the village, I'm looking for the library, mind giving me some directions?" the civilian nodded "Oh? Nice to meet you sir. Well you wanna...."

After getting the direction I bid the civilian farewell and left for the library. Eventually, I reached the tall building, I walked up the stairs and went inside, the librarian, a young woman with glasses turned to look at me. I waved as I made my way over, "Hello, are there any specific rules I should know before I start exploring here?" I had to make sure I wasn't caught doing something I wasn't supposed to. She nodded, expressionless, "Yes, civilian books are free to be borrowed but must be returned at a later date, while you are allowed to borrow the shinobi's, you need special permission to borrow higher rank techniques."

'Makes sense, it protects those who aren't ready for that level and the villages secrets' I nodded before I made my way to the books, the first one I began reading was a survival book, I needed to learn how to hunt, I'm petty, I wasn't going to resort to the villages for anything besides clothes.

A few hours later I had finished the book and made my way to the forest right outside the village, I tried putting what I read to use, it took a while but I eventually found a rabbits tracks, I followed them to a big brown hare. 'tch' this complicates things, hares are far more powerful than a rabbit.

I took a deep breath as I snuck up to it, sending a tiny amount of chakra to my fingers, tiny to me, but gigantic to anyone else. I jumped at the hare and grabbed it's throat, it thrashed around and got some good kicks on my torso, 'that'll leave some bruises'. I sent some more chakra, then it's neck snapped.

I instantly dropped it, all my blood felt as if it was rushing to my head. I felt dizzy, I dropped against a tree, hyperventilating. 'Ok deep breaths, you knew you'd have to do this eventually, just calm down'.

It took a while, but I eventually calmed down. Due to my past life, I've never taken the life of anything, if I was eating meat, it'd be meat from an already dead animal that I had no hand in killing. This was partly the reason I decided to hunt for my own food, it's a means to prepare myself for the inevitable, killing humans.
