"What are you talking about? What 'it' did he pass on to you?"
"Oh, Lena, I knew you truly didn't believe me when I said Dagomarus was a werewolf. You are so pragmatic that you just accepted what I said, but you truly, deep inside that pretty little head of yours, didn't believe he was a werewolf. Well, I am afraid that it was the absolute, forever and ever, unholy truth."
"Oh. I don't know what to say, Casey. I guess maybe you're right about the pragmatic thing. I just let it pass through me without really thinking about it. So, now what?"
"Come downstairs with me. I need to show you something."
Casey started to reach for Lena, thought about it, and then took her hand. If I was going to pass it to her, I guess it's a little too late to worry about it now.
Casey led her down the stairs and into the living room. She put Lena on the couch and stepped over to the furthest corner of the room.
She looked at Lena, who was frowning but watching her.
