After the meal Kol brings some of the younger orphans to bed and reads them a few stories, some he read and some he imagined and retold in a way that is pleasing for the younger audience.
After they all fall asleep, he too soon climbs into his bead and opens the book he was reading earlier. Reading to the kids puts them to sleep earlier and better for Kol since he needs a quiet space to think and read before bed, since they share a room Kol took it upon himself when he was younger to read to them.
He flips through the page he once left and continued reading.
The Blood of Obedience. Is a holy book that describes the birth of the God Obedience. The tree of balance is the life bringer, the guarantor of death and the judge of all things just. But it has no voice. The tree has two main trunks split from the root. 'Order' and 'Chaos' after a while some leaves fell from both sides and came the birth of 'Guardians', but both factions were opposed one another and war soon ensued. The tree broke a piece of its branch and out came the 'Messenger' who acted as the voice of the tree and commander peace between the two since neither one can be without the other.
Kol's reading is interrupted by the sudden drop fall of his head. He is sleepy.
Before his vision fades, he thought about the system.
Almost immediately a blue transparent screen appeared showing what seems to be a statistic of Kol's mentality and physique.

[ABILITY] [1]
Kol focuses on his ability hoping to read or understand it one more time in case there is something he could do. Another blue screen appears before him.
[ABILITY]
-PERMANENT BODY
'Status effects inflicted on you can change its duration to permanent.'
This is why Kol is sheltered and is careful. The curse he had since he was a baby. Everyone in the world who is under the protection of the remaining guardians are granted a system since birth and obedience is the one who controls and monitors each individual system. Not everyone can have an ability since birth but it can be acquired through gaining favors from the Guardians or Obedience, but those who are born with one are said to be gifted or chosen for great things. Every holy book or scriptures in the church or library that Kol has been said this, but despite that after reading his ability he always asked himself. What did he do to deserve such an ability, some might even call it a curse.
This is why Kol never went out a lot, he always stayed indoor and read. He never attended mass or be blessed by the priest, since he didn't think it would chance his ability. He always panicked and shut himself in the attic as soon as one of the orphans gets sick, since getting sick means it could be permanent. Never tried to eat or drink anything he wasn't familiar with or wasn't prepared by Bea since being poisoned permanently is not something to be proud of. He never played with the kids for too long or even go deeper into the forest in fear of catching something he could no longer cure, that is until he met Nicole. After meeting Nicole his fear had left and he was now more outgoing, agreed to spending time with her outside of the orphanage, near the coast, by the port. Eat something new like freshly caught and cooked fish, some wild apples. Nicole may not know is but she completely changed Kol's teenage life.
Soon without knowing Kol fell asleep.
He soon wakes up to Beas voice.
"Kol, aren't you suppose to meet with Rosseler?" Bea says as she tries to wake another child bellow Kol's double bed.
Kol jumps from his bed and bolts out of the room. Bringing only an empty straw satchel. His clothes although ragged and made out of the generic burlap sack one could still say it was clean. He hurried out the door avoiding any kids that are already awake and playing.
"I've missed it, I've missed it." He speaks to himself running towards the cliff side where he spent with Nicole yesterday.
Arriving at the cliff, he bent down in exhaustion as he struggles to search for breath. He Is then greeted with the realization that Nicole is now gone as he seas a ship in the middle of the ocean heading towards the horizon bearing the sigil of the Oakhearts.
"There she goes." He pants.
"Don't worry I'll be the greatest of all wizards, and earn my place beside that not even your father could oppose." He says to himself. "YOU HEAR THAT NICOLE! I'LL BE THE GREATEST WIZARD EVER!" screaming into the open sky.
After a while when the ship can no longer be seen Kol finds his way to Rosseler's House. It wasn't grand or luxurious despite the rumors of him being a 3rd level wizard the highest there is, the house was crudely shaped almost as if the carpenter didn't know what he was doing, it was covered in leaves and vines sprouting from the ground and from what looks like a tree growing from inside the house, but the house was big, equal to 2 of Kols orphanage if it was combined.
Kol stood in front of the door for a second having second thoughts if he should knock or not, then suddenly he was pushed aside by someone.
"Excuse me. Excuse me." He says to Kol.
A man robbed in blue with green outlines who looked to be in his mid-20s carrying a bunch of dried and rotting sticks and vines in both arms.
"Well don't just stand there open the damn door." He says with a smile. "you're one the new students aren't you?"
