One week had passed since Ryuu and Ryoko attended the association, and today was a bright, sunny day.
A refreshing cold breeze danced through the air, accompanied by the cheerful chirping of birds.
This was the day the training session for all students in the city capable of controlling A-level magic and above would begin.
In his room, a young boy with azure-white hair was sleeping soundly.
Suddenly, a loud voice shattered the tranquility, jolting him awake and sending him tumbling off his bed.
"RYUU!! WAKE UP! TODAY YOUR TRAINING SESSION IS GOING TO BEGIN. DO YOU WANT TO GET LATE AGAIN LIKE LAST TIME?"
Rubbing his eyes, Ryuu scrambled out of bed and hurried to change.
Fifteen frantic minutes later, he was in the middle of packing his bag when the sound of the doorbell interrupted him.
Ding Dong!
"Ryuu, can you go open the door?" his mother called from the kitchen.
"Yes!" Ryuu replied, racing to the front door. He opened it to find Seichii and Ryoko standing there.
"Seichii? Ryoko-san? What are you doing here this early?" Ryuu asked, surprised.
"G-good morning, Ryuu-kun! We came to pick you up so we can all go to the training camp together," Ryoko replied, her tone firm yet gentle.
"Yo, Ryuu! Why aren't you ready yet? You don't want to be late today too, do you?" Seichii added, crossing his arms with a mock sternness.
"Oh, I was just getting ready! Come inside and wait for five minutes."
(Inside?)
"Okay, but hurry up!" Seichii said, his expression serious.
The three of them stepped inside.
"Ryuu, who was it?" his mother asked, walking into the hallway.
"Oh, it's Seichii-kun and Ryoko-chan. Come and sit! I was just making breakfast for Ryuu. Would you like some?" Ryuu's mom offered, her face lighting up with a warm smile.
"No, Auntie, you don't hav—"
"Thank you, Auntie!" Ryoko interjected, but Seichii had already taken a seat at the dining table.
Ryuu's mom giggled and gestured for Ryoko to join him.
"Seichii-kun, you haven't changed a bit over the years! Ryuu, hurry up; everyone is waiting for you!" she urged.
"Yes, I'm ready!" Ryuu called as he came downstairs with his bag and luggage.
The three of them quickly ate breakfast, excitement bubbling between them.
"All of you, take care of each other and yourself," Ryuu's mother said, concern etched on her face.
"Yes, we will!" the three of them replied in unison before walking out of the house.
They made their way to school, where they would board the buses for the training site. As they arrived, the principal stood before the gathered students, beaming with pride.
"Good morning, students! Today marks the beginning of your special training session.
You have all made this school proud and are the future protectors of our country and planet.
I urge you to look out for yourselves and each other during these three months.
I pray to the Devas for your safety and success. Now, please report to the buses with your respective teachers."
With that, the principal stepped aside, and the students eagerly filed onto the bus.
After a two-hour journey, they arrived at the training area.
As the students stepped off the bus, they were awestruck by the sight before them.
"Wow, is this the training area? That entrance gate is enormous!" they exclaimed, gazing up at the towering structure.
Meanwhile, high atop a distant tower, two figures stood, their eyes fixed on the students below.
"We will finally get to meet the new S-rank, Tatsuno Ryoko," one of them said, a hint of intrigue in their voice.
As anticipation filled the air, the stage was set for a training session that would test their limits and unveil secrets that would change their lives forever.
