Pedro and Claire reached the company about an hour later, and they went through the gates after noticing the plaque at the entrance.
Once inside, Pedro informs the receptionist that he has an appointment with their chairman and asks her for the directions to the chairman's office.
With a smile, the lady guided Pedro and Claire to the chairman's office. Pedro had set up a meeting with him beforehand.
The receptionist stops at the office entrance and tells Pedro and Claire to go inside, after which she leaves.
As they enter the office, they both notice a middle-aged, well-groomed man sitting in the main seat who appears to be very meticulous.
The man gestures for them to take a seat and asks, "What would you prefer to drink?"...tea, coffee, or soft drink?"
Pedro looks at Claire and says, "Coffee would be just fine."
The man nodded and instructed his assistant, who was standing behind him, to bring three cups of coffee for them. She complied and went outside of the office to bring them coffee.
"Hello Mr. Willis Bradenton, my name is Sebastian Pedro, while the lady beside me is Miss Claire, who is also the legal advisor of Mr. Sam Sandles, the man who is our boss," and he introduces Philip to them both.
William nodded and glared his eyes at Claire, but Pedro coughed, diverting his attention.
Willis was displeased, but when he looked at the tough and buff Pedro sitting opposite him, he became reserved.
Willis inquires, "What might be your reason for coming here?"
Pedro then stated, "We have come here to discuss selling your real estate company to us."
Willis shook his head. "I thought it might be interesting, but you're here to talk about my company. Sorry, but I'm not interested in talking to you. You can go back simply because there is nothing else to discuss."
Willis instructed the assistant to return the coffee as he was dismissing the guests, but Pedro interrupted her and took the coffee from her hand, telling her to return.
She seemed perplexed by Pedro's order, but when she saw how fierce Pedro was, she fled.
Willis was stunned and angry by Pedro's actions, but before he could respond, Pedro urged him to take the coffee mug.
After witnessing all of this, Claire finally responded, "Alright then, Mr. Willis, today we are here to discuss the buying of the Galaxy real estate company, and we're here to ask for the selling price for this company."
Before Willis could reject Claire, Pedro handed him a document to read. Willis' face turned ugly as he read the document, and his eyes were filled with apprehension.
…
Sam started his security company a few months ago, but he additionally requested Pedro to put together a hidden team of computer experts, ex-spies, and expert ex-field agents to gather some important data for him. The name of this team is 'Phantom Pool'.
The money Sam spends on them in a single month is around $10-$20 million; in exchange, he gets the precious data, which is hidden from everyone else. And they collect the information at Sam's specified targets, which include potential allies, enemies, and people he considers dangerous.
Sam has set Willis Bradenton as their latest target, and in just a few days, they have gathered data that many people would not be able to gather in a year.
…
Switching back to Bradenton's office.
Pedro concurs: "This is a document that should stay hidden away from the world, but it might also see the light of the world accidentally."
Willis collapses on the chair, angrily pointing at Pedro, "Are you blackmailing me?"
Pedro gave a sideways glance and replied, "The task given by my boss is simple, which is to buy the Galaxy company with any method, and for us, this is a very effective method."
Claire interjected, "And we don't have much time for chatting with you. So, instead of accusing or seeking any details from us, you should make a sound decision promptly."
Willis was confused regarding what to do next since the document Pedro gave him was about the black money that he concealed from the IRS.
'Black money' is money earned but not taxed by the income tax department. And the IRS is the most dominant department in the United States, with no one daring to challenge it.
In America, anyone can evade prison even if they have engaged in drugs or killed somebody, but evading the IRS can be extremely risky.
So the document Pedro gave Willis is critical to him. If Pedro provides this document to the IRS, Willis will undoubtedly be imprisoned for 8 to 10 years, while his companies will be sold by the IRS to recover the amount evaded by Willis.
Pedro elaborates: "And at that time, it will be very easy for us to buy your Galaxy company at a very cheap price since currently nobody will be interested in buying a real estate company in the current economic situation."
Willis felt upset because of Pedro's statements, but he was shackled by the document and couldn't do anything because speaking out against them might put him in prison at any time.
Willis was considering any countermeasures that could help him get out of this situation, but with the solid evidence in front of him, he couldn't do much.
Pedro then makes a $50 million offer to buy the Galaxy company outright, including all of its assets.
Willis' eyes widened, and he exclaimed, "Are you crazy? This company owns approximately $200 million in property and lands, and you are offering only one-fourth (¼) of its actual price?"
Pedro shook his head and said, "But you should keep the current economic situation in mind, so this offer is completely appropriate."
But Willis argued, "But I have no plans to sell this company at all. You are blackmailing me into selling it."
Claire chuckled and said, "If you know we are blackmailing, why are you arguing about the price?"
Willis was speechless at Claire's shamelessness, so he kept quiet simply because he didn't want to argue against them anymore.
But, after some thought, he asked, "If I sell you this company, what guarantee do I have to ensure you will not use it against me yet again?"
Pedro looked at Claire, who nodded, and told Willis, "You have no choice but to trust us, and if you still doubt our words, we've got a second option for you."
Claire also nodded from the sidelines.
Pedro continued: "You can sign a confidential agreement with us that includes us to keep this tax-evading issue buried forever, but if it ever comes to light, then we will take full responsibility for it."
After glancing at Pedro and Claire, Willis finally gave up.
