Alden laughed lightly, shaking his head. "It might be. But I want to experience how normal people live. No titles, no responsibilities. Just the freedom to see the world with my own eyes."
Julian's smile softened as he studied his father's face. It was rare for Alden to express such desires, but Julian understood.
Perhaps this was Alden's way of seeking peace before stepping away from it all.
"I guess we all need our own escape."
Alden stretched and composed himself. "Let's go. The king and queen have arrived, and we can't make them wait any longer."
Julian straightened his posture, puffing out his chest. "Lead the way, Father."
Together, they walked down the hallway of the castle. Midway through their path, they were joined by Regina, Eva, and Eleanor.
Regina's presence was as graceful as ever. Meanwhile, Eva and Eleanor walked proudly beside their family.
