Ryuji finds himself in his room. He gets up and sees that all his wounds have healed. Ryuji is astonished by this, but then he notices a note stuck to the cupboard in his room. It reads:
Hey Ryuji,
You were sleeping, so I didn't want to disturb you. But when you read this note, please come to my lab.
Akari...
As soon as Ryuji reads the note, he quickly gets ready and heads towards Akari's lab. However, on the way, he runs into Akari.
Akari immediately says, "Ryuji, I was just coming to find you."
Ryuji replies, "Yeah, me too."
Akari says, "Well then, let's go together."
Ryuji asks, "Where?"
Akari responds, "To complete your final task."
Ryuji says, "You mean right now?"
Akari replies, "Yes, why delay in a good deed?"
Ryuji agrees and walks along with Akari.
As they walk, Ryuji asks, "Akari, does every Sleeks hunters have their own Zuek?"
Akari replies, "Yes, everyone has one. I have one too; would you like to see?"
Ryuji nods, and Akari calls out, "Kira, someone wants to meet you."
Immediately, a radiant white woman emerges from Akari's body, just like Syria did from Virat. This Zuek is as beautiful as Syria.
Upon seeing Ryuji, kira says, "Hey Ryuji, I've heard so much about you. I wanted to meet you too."
Ryuji, slightly surprised, asks, "About me?"
Kira replies, "Yes, everyone talks about you. Everyone wants to know what is inside you..."
Suddenly, Akari interrupts Kira.
Ryuji, a bit confused, asks, "What's inside me?"
Akari suddenly says, "It means you have a lot of potential inside you. Everyone talks about that."
Ryuji is still a bit puzzled and asks again, "Everyone talks about my potential, but I have just learned to control my spiritual energy."
Kira takes over the conversation, saying, "Oh, it means how powerful your aura is even now? People want to know how you have so much spiritual energy inside you?"
Ryuji says, "What does spiritual energy have to do with my aura?"
Akari explains, "The more spiritual energy a person has, the more powerful their aura is."
Upon hearing this, Ryuji's doubts vanish as he remembers that when he was learning to control his spiritual energy with some boys, he felt that his aura was much stronger than all the boys present.
Seeing that Ryuji's face is no longer showing doubt, Akari lets out a sigh of relief and says, "Kira, I think you should go now."
Hearing this, Kira leaves Ryuji and returns to Akari's body.
On the way, Akari hears Kira's voice in her mind, "Doesn't he know about the power hidden inside him?"
Akari replies in her mind, "No, and it's better if he doesn't find out."
After that, Kira falls silent, and after a while, Ryuji asks Akari, "What do Zueks do when they are connected to a Sleek hunter?"
Akari replies, "Zueks are both an energy source and companions for a sleek hunter. They assist the Sleek hunters in many ways. They help in locating things, keeping an eye on the enemy's every move, detecting threats, and even healing wounds. They also provide spiritual energy to the Sleek hunter."
Ryuji says, "If we have our own spiritual energy, then why do we need their spiritual energy?"
Akari replies, "Yes, but a Zuek has much more spiritual energy than a human possesses, which is very helpful to sleek hunters in battles."
Hearing this, Ryuji says, "Then a Zuek is quite a valuable asset. I also need one for myself as soon as possible."
After this, Akari takes Ryuji to the basement and brings him in front of a very large door, saying, "You have to go in alone. I can't accompany you inside."
Ryuji asks, "Why?"
Akari explains, "This place has its own rules."
Ryuji asks, "At least tell me what I have to do once I go inside?"
Akari replies, "You just need to choose a Zuek for yourself, and it will bond with you on its own."
Ryuji doesn't ask any more questions, and as soon as he touches the door to open it, the door disappears, and a very bright white light starts to emanate from inside.
Seeing this, Ryuji looks at Akari, and she gestures for him to move forward. So, Ryuji steps into the white light. The light is so bright that he can't see anything, yet he continues to move forward.
Suddenly, Ryuji finds himself in a lush green field. As he turns around, he sees there is no door. He is surprised by this but continues to move forward.
The place looks like Ryuji has entered another world. It is completely filled with greenery, beautiful trees, and shining flowers. As far as Ryuji can see, there is nothing but this field.
Ryuji doesn't understand what to do now; he just keeps walking forward. Then he notices a very large glowing white tree.
Seeing that tree, Ryuji runs towards it. The closer he gets, the larger the tree seems to grow. Ryuji can't comprehend just how big the tree is.
After running for about one and half an hour, when Ryuji finally reaches the tree, he realizes it is over a kilometer tall. The branches of the tree seem to touch the sky. Ryuji sees that the tree is bearing fruit.
Each fruit here looks like a glass egg, with a shining figure inside. Ryuji understands that perhaps this is the place where Zueks are born.
As Ryuji moves closer, he sees that the tree is absorbing the energy of the lush green field, and for every tree it absorbs, a fruit grows on it.
Getting a little closer, he notices many Zueks sitting all around. As Ryuji approaches them, the Zueks gesture for him to come closer.
When Ryuji reaches the tree, it brings four glass fruits in front of him. Inside each of those fruits is a fully formed Zuek, just waiting to come out.
Ryuji realizes that he has to choose one of the four. He looks at each Zuek one by one but doesn't understand which one to choose.
Ryuji thinks to himself, "If I choose any one of them, it shouldn't make a difference. They all seem the same, but if they are all the same, why are they asking me to choose?"
So, he asks the Zueks, "What is the difference between these four?"
But no Zuek answers him. Ryuji looks back at the four Zueks, and when he focuses on one of them, he hears a voice in his mind saying, "I am Viola."
This surprises Ryuji, but he looks at the Zuek again to hear more, and the Zuek continues, "I am formed from the feeling of joy in humans."
Instantly, Ryuji sees many people in his mind who are enjoying themselves, playing, and exploring new places.
Then Ryuji snaps back to reality and looks at the second Zuek.
He hears a voice say, "My name is Flora, and I am formed from the feeling of love in humans."
Immediately, he sees many men and women, boys and girls, who are very happy together.
When he looks at the third Zuek, he hears, "My name is Kara, and I am formed from the feeling of hope in humans."
Once again, Ryuji sees many people in his mind, sitting with some kind of hope.
And the fourth one says, "I am Ezra, and I am formed from the feeling of satisfaction in humans."
Once more, Ryuji sees people who are content with their lives.
After learning about all four Zueks, Ryuji now has to decide whom he will choose.
Ryuji thinks to himself, "Joy, love, hope, or satisfaction; I have to choose one of these four, but which one? Do these feelings even matter? Is there any difference in the powers of Zueks formed from different feelings?"
While Ryuji is lost in thought, he remembers Syria and Kira. Syria is masaki's Zuek, and Kira is Akari's. Ryuji thinks deeply but cannot understand the difference between Syria and Kira.
But Ryuji comes to a realization, thinking, "I am putting my mind in the wrong place. I shouldn't be looking for a difference between Syria and Kira, but rather in the relationship they have with masaki and Akari."
After this, Ryuji starts to compare the relationships between Masaki to Syria and Akari to Kira.
Masaki is a very calm and serious person. He mostly stays alone and is not very good at interacting with people, but if we talk about Syria, she is good at socializing. Not only does she understand people well, but she can also express herself clearly. For example, when Ryuji wasn't listening to Masaki, Syria talked to Ryuji and managed to convince him immediately.
On the other hand, if we talk about Akari, she is quite friendly and caring. She mixes well with people and takes good care of both Ryuji and Masaki.
On the other hand, if we look at Kira, Ryuji didn't know much about her, but he had noticed one thing: Kira has a sense of curiosity. She wants to know and understand things, and if we consider that Akari is also a scientist, her relationship with Kira must help her advance."
After thinking about all this, Ryuji understands and says to himself, "Both Syria and Kira assist masaki and Akari in many things apart from their battles. In a way, Syria and Kira complete the personalities of Akari and Virat. So, it means I need to choose the Zuek that will help complete my personality. So what do I need?"
With this thought, Ryuji looks at the four Zueks and realizes that the tree didn't just randomly select any Zueks. It chose those Zueks that were formed from the emotions that Ryuji was lacking in his life, but now it was Ryuji's decision to determine which one of them he needed the most.
Ryuji takes a deep breath and stands before the third Zuek, saying, "Nothing can be achieved in this world without hope. Hope is what gives us the courage to keep moving forward, so I choose hope. I choose you, Kara."
As soon as he says this, he touches the fruit of Kara, and immediately, Kara emerges from the fruit. A golden light flows out of Kara and enters Ryuji, connecting Kara and Ryuji.
Instantly, the leaves of the tree begin to fall, and all the Zueks present start singing some kind of song. With a bright white light, Kara merges into Ryuji's body.
As this happens, everything around Ryuji turns white, and he loses all sense of his surroundings. But the next moment, he finds himself outside the door, where the white light gradually begins to fade, and suddenly, the large door appears in front of him.
