"Does little missy not know manners on 'how to treat a guest'", Roven tried to stand maintaining his balance. He brushed off where Rosette touched him making it clear that she was nothing to him.
But Rosette, on the other hand, didn't concern herself with his disgust. "I'll have you know what a pleasant host I'm," she said, hiding one hand back and calling an incantation. A gold-gripped blade appeared engraved with roses. "But a quick reminder, you're not an expected guest."
Roven chuckled and smirked when he saw the blade. His mind was searching for a million ways to assassinate this girl in front of him. True that he entered (trespassed) Rosette's house without permission but false that this girl was telling him him the truth.
With both hands, he brushed his hair back, exposing his forehead. "So that's how you wanna play, hun?" he said, reaching into his pocket to cast an enchantment for a small but thin knife. Then let's play".
He raced forward and swung his blade to Rosette's neck, hoping to slash her throat, but she dodged it by bringing her blade and deflected him and aiming for his heart. He quickly grabbed her hand and twisted it.
The pain felt burning through Rosette's veins, she wanted to scream but couldn't, instead, she stepped on his left foot, forcing her heel to dig deeper into his skin. Roven quickly released her as he cried in pain, making Rosette's chances of winning. She kicked his left leg to disable his balance till he reached the floor. His body is fully under pain as he stumbles down, allowing Rosette to slash his right hand showing a deeper cut.
She then steps on his hand causing him to feel the rush of pain making it unbearable to bear it. Roven with his left hand tried to get her foot off; he tried to grab his blade but Rosette swiped it further away from him.
Soon more blood dripped from his hand, dark pure red spread across the wooden surface, Roven's jade eyes glared at her to stop, he didn't say but by his expression, it was easy to see that he was begging to stop.
"Stop", he told her, but Rosette wasn't letting it go. She wanted to end this, she hated bloodshed, she hated fighting, and she hated being violent, but right now she was being the exact same as what she described.
'"Stop", he repeated.
'Just like them', she thought, and at the sudden realization, she saw what she had done. She was acting just like them. "Shit", she removed her foot and saw the blood. "Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit". Tears started to form, and she saw what she had done, but instead of Roven she saw herself in him, she couldn't help it.
She vowed never to be like them, never to live like them, never to act like them. She vowed and promised, so why did she break them?
'Ego'.
She couldn't believe it. She let it take over her. She made a mess, so she had to fix it. "I'm sorry I did this," she said, trying to cover her tears. "But I'm going to heal you, and I don't want you to judge". She took Roven's bloody hand and recited the incantation. This time, it was long. A yellow ethereal light shined, causing different coiled ethereal energy to spread all over Roven's body.
Roven couldn't believe what he was seeing, 'Ethereal magic', a forbidden incantation only recited by Jaden faires, Ethereal fairies. Soon the incantation was complete, Roven pulled his hand up to be completely shocked at what he saw, his stabbed hand was healed. He noticed the pain in his leg was gone and his foot was also healed, making him better to new.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL WHAT!", Roven couldn't believe what he witnessed, he tried to move his body, and to his surprise his previous scars were also healed. He turned to face Rosette who blinked her golden pupil eyes, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR EYES, THEIR GOLDEN", he pointed at her. Rosette blinked twice to make the glimmer disappear, but she couldn't make the surrounding golden flare faint.
"Wait", he crawled back, "Golden eyes, ethereal magic, and pink hair tips", again his eyes opened wide like they were about to pop out.
"You're", again he pointed at her.
"That's right", she admitted.
"You're an evil witch of the south".
"I'm an ethereal fai_".
...
They both said what they had to say at the same time. For once Rosette couldn't believe Roven's stupidity, she thought the clues were enough for him to figure out but that wasn't the case. So Rosette took advantage of his misunderstanding.
"I guess you got me", she said as she shrugged, "Who knew the leader of Jade Assassins was this smart to figure out my identity".
Roven gasped at the certain realization, this girl knew who he was. "Are you going to turn me into a frog?", he asked while showing his adorable yet dashing jade eyes.
"What? No!", Rosette replied with utmost disgust, "Is that what she has been doing?", she whispered to herself.
"What's going on here?".
They both shifted their gazes to find Mathias tilted on the door front. His eyes were drowsy and his complexion was back to normal. "What are you both doing?", he asked again looking confused.
"We were discussing a cure for you", replied Roven as he stood up, "Not gonna lie but Haleen did you good".
Mathias frowned at Roven's insult, he knew what Haleen did to him, but he didn't know how to fix it. "I believe you both have found it?". They both turned their gaze to Rosette, hoping for an answer.
"Believe me I did".
