She worked tirelessly to extract the poison from his arm, her tears falling unchecked onto his pale skin.
"Are we going to lose him too?" Louise's voice broke the silence, low and heavy with sorrow. His eyes were hollow, his face pale as the weight of their losses pressed down on him. "Just how many more people are we going to lose?"
