Eli was treating Bridget like a baby and people were jealous

One day she stayed in the rain for too long that she fell sick, she called Eli when she saw him with Bridget driving off a few minutes ago, Eli asked the driver to take Bridget home, got off and rushed to Ella,
Bridget didn't like him running in the rain and asked the driver to turn back only to see him carrying Ella in his arms and entering a taxi, she went home
Eli took her to the hospital and stayed till she was ok after making sure he called her husband and he left
The driver reported to him and he went home
"Come take a hot bath, I will cook something for you" she said and went to the kitchen
After showering he came out and she served him food to eat after eating she sat to watch a movie and he sat close to her
"Ain't you going to ask me where I went"
"It was important you had to go" she said and checked his temperature
Bridget behaved as if there was nothing wrong
"Good night" she said
"Wait!! I took Ella to the hospital I am sorry I left in a rush"
"It's fine I thought you were never going to tell me" she smiled and kissed his cheek
The next day they both went to check up her
She left them alone to talk
"How are you"
"I am ok sorry for troubling you" Ella said
"It's ok I will always be there for you" he said and left
Bridget came to see her
"How are you?"
"I am ok sorry for taking your husband away from you yesterday" Ella said
"What are you trying to do" Bridget asked
"I don't understand"
"Why would you say such a thing to me"
"I am just apologizing" Ella said
"Why didn't you call your husband"
"He was out of town and maybe Because the only thought that came to mind was Eli..,. My Eli would go the extra mile for me" Ella said
"My Eli? Did you do all of this to prove that point?"
"I don't know what you're talking about I was stranded and my husband was not around so I called on my friend is that bad?" Ella said and started crying
"What's going on here?" Eli asked
"Your wife thinks I am playing a trick that I want to steal you away" Ella said and Eli consoled her, Bridget left the room
"Go after her, she might misunderstand"
"There's no misunderstanding between us, Ella she knows me even before I act and I can assure you that was not what she meant. Don't get her wrong" Eli said
Ella was to be discharged that day, they waited for Manuel to come and continue the discharging process, Manuel asked Ella to wait for him outside
Eli approached Bridget
"Angry?"
"Not really" she said
"How can you not be angry? From yesterday you've not been angry don't you care" Eli asked
"I trust you, you didn't promise me your love but your trust" she said and he hugged her
"Wait did you do what you did just now just to see my reaction" she asked and he smiled
"I wanted to get that anger out if there was any" he said and hugged her
"Uh indeed you know me" he said softly
Ella saw them and was annoyed
"Shall we go" Manuel said and they left
When they got home
"Why didn't you call me I would have picked you before leaving for my trip Eli called me an hour after my trip" Manuel said
"What are you insinuating?" Ella said
"Ella we have been having problems since that friend's wedding"
"You're the one making issues out of it"
"Ella you did not correct them when they said you and Eli were dating, you were happy having a conversation on that topic I am your husband am I not allowed to complain a little?"
"You're making an issue out of nothing"
"Ella i love you and I want us to go back to when we met, the Ella who was a good daughter, who cared for me and loved me. What happened to that Ella I fell in love with" Manuel said and left
Ella went to work and she met Bridget
"I hope I didn't cause any problems" Ella said
"You're not stopping yet are you?"
