"Yes I said yes mam" he said and chuckled
The next quiz went well for him that he ran to show her after the results came and he hugged her tightly for a moment.
Days gone back
Some of the girls in Eli's class were not happy about his actions of escorting Ella to class and back. They couldn't get to him and ask for friendship, he was only close with a few boys in the class
One day Ella waited after classes for him but he wasn't coming, she went to his class and she saw him talking with some girls
She didn't like it and walked away in high speed only to turn back and walk to his direction and called his name
Eli realized he was late and quickly rushed to her and apologized but she was sulking
"What were you doing with those girls"
"They begged me to teach them on a topic they didn't understand" he replied
They were eating when she asked again
"So are you the only one who could have taught them" Ella asked and Eli chuckled
"What?" Ella asked
"There's nothing wrong with teaching them and you know that" Eli said smiling
"Yes I know but I don't like it" she said and Eli smiled
"I am actually glad you don't" he said softly
One of Ella's classmates asked her about Eli
"Uhm Ella that your brother is really handsome"
"Brother? I don't have a brother"
"That boy who waits for you every day"
"Yh he's very cute" Ella said and went to arranging her stuff but that girl wouldn't stop
"He's your friend?"
"Please what do you want?" Ella asked
"Can I be his friend too"
"Ask him if you can" Ella said
"If you ask him I am sure he would"
"Well you're not even my friend why would I recommend you to him?" Ella asked
"I like him"
"Tell him yourself" Ella replied
And the girl found her answers annoying and left
"You seemed annoyed" Eli asked when he came for her
"Yh there's a girl who likes you in my class and she asks a lot of questions about you"
"And what did you tell her?"
"To ask you herself but wait a minute are you interested?"
"What if I am?" He asked with a devilish grin
"No you're too young for that" she said
"If you say so"
Their first academic semester came to an end and they went home and Ella's parents were happy to see their daughter and in good shape and thanked Eli for his help, the two families became close while Ella was with her grandma
"I like that young lady" mike said
"Who?!!!" Bertha asked
"Your friends daughter, she's respectful, smart and bring out the best in Eli" Mike said
"Me too I wished we could arrange a marriage for them" Bertha said
"They're too young although I want her for him, I am not going to force him into any relationship whosoever he chooses when the time is right I will stand with him" Mike said and Eli happened to hear them, he was glad they liked Ella and want her in his future
They went back to school Ella looked different to Eli and maybe not to him alone
When Ella saw Eli she was happy it's been about three months since they met and she looked beautiful to him and the boys in her class was also hovering around her but her eyes and smile has always been for Eli
She wanted to look good for Eli and he didn't even know it was for him
Just like the last semester he would always wait for her and take her to class and escort her back
One day after escorting her to her room
"Here comes the guy who wouldn't let the girl breathe" one said
"Is she your sister? Did your parents asked you to not leave her alone hahaha" another said but he ignored them
One held his shirt and he shove him off
"Don't try that again I am not one to be bullied and stay away from her she's mine and will always be" he said and left
One of those boys asked Ella who Eli was
"Hey is that guy your boyfriend?" He asked pointing to Eli who was waiting for her
"Why do you ask" Ella asked
"He said you're his" he said and Ella didn't know if she should smile or not
"Really?" She asked
"Are you seriously happy about it? Are you his girlfriend?" He asked but she left without answering
