"I didn't plan to keep you for a meal," Yeyin said. "I just wanted to tell you what's been happening here."
"When we arrested these guys, we noticed something strange."
"It's as if all of them… have lost their minds."
Hearing this, Garp was taken aback.
Since he'd been in such high spirits, he hadn't paid much attention to the state of Tsunosnake and the others.
But now, hearing Yeyin's words, he inspected the pirates more closely.
"This is the impact of Conqueror's Haki!"
"To be able to instantly crush the mental defenses of pirates of this strength…"
"There are very few people on the seas who can do that."
With this thought, Garp glanced at Yeyin suspiciously.
But he quickly dismissed the notion. This kid, who spent his days picking up trash, couldn't possibly have Conqueror's Haki, could he?
And even if he did, it couldn't be that strong.
"Sakazuki, take them back and lock them up," Garp ordered.
Even though Akainu held the rank of Vice Admiral, Garp was the overall commander on this mission, so Sakazuki had no choice but to follow his orders and take the prisoners away.
"Oh, right, Teacher," Yeyin said.
"Tell Admiral Zephyr when you get back that these people are worth some money. They can offset what he owed me from before."
"And I won't accept a single coin less!"
Yeyin reminded him with a grin.
"Hahaha… I'll make sure to pass that on!" Garp chuckled.
Just the thought of Zephyr's grumpy face made Garp want to laugh.
"Oh, Teacher, one more thing," Yeyin added.
"I asked them, and it turns out these slaves were taken from the nearby island of Pirdax. If possible, could you take them back there on your way?"
Hearing this, Garp felt even more pleased.
Not only was Yeyin quick to strike against pirates, but he was also compassionate.
He'd only been at sea for a little over two months and had already captured so many pirates.
It was even said that every place Yeyin passed through was left spotless and clean.
This was something that gave Garp a lot of pride.
"Understood. I'll make sure it's handled," Garp said.
"Oh, by the way, Yeyin, your ability lets you store things away, right?"
"How much can you hold?"
At this, Garp asked directly.
"I can hold an entire small warship without a problem," Yeyin replied honestly. After all, this was part of the Devil Fruit ability he'd set up for himself.
"I see."
"Well, Teacher's heading off then!"
"Hey, bring those slaves over and take them back to Pirdax Island."
"Sakazuki, make sure you don't kill any of the pirates."
Garp said this and immediately sprang into action.
As he was leaving, Sakazuki gave Yeyin a look.
Though his expression was unreadable, he said nothing.
Once everyone had departed, the food was ready.
After a day of eating and drinking, Issho returned to the warship the next day.
"I've spoken to the king of Pirdax Island, and everything is arranged," Issho reported.
With this news, the incident was finally resolved.
Yeyin and his crew continued exploring the West Sea.
His plan was to start here and eventually head to Ohara for a visit.
Once his position in the Seven Warlords of the Sea was secured, he'd prepare to sail back.
