Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Strange kid, Yeyin!

"What did you just say?"

After hitting Luffy, Garp angrily asked.

"I said, I want to..."

"I'm not telling you!"

Luffy stuck out his tongue and quickly ran off. Seeing Luffy escape, Garp looked helpless.

His child and grandson—both were such troublemakers!

"So, what do you think, Vice Admiral Garp?" Yeyin asked slowly. "Or do you think I should become a pirate too?"

Compared to being a pirate, Yeyin preferred the Navy. After all, he wasn't interested in the so-called One Piece treasure. If it were a giant junkyard, maybe Yeyin would have rushed there eagerly.

So, hunting for the One Piece was out of the question. It was much better to join the Navy and pick up trash instead!

"Why do you want to join the Navy?" Garp asked seriously.

Seeing Garp's expression, Miss Curly Dadan realized it was time for her to leave. After all, she was a bandit. Although she often didn't give Garp much respect, she knew when to step aside.

So, she took the bandits and left the room.

"If you ask why, I'd say it's because there's probably a lot of trash in the Navy, right?" Yeyin said casually. "My purpose is to clean up that trash!"

Garp was taken aback by Yeyin words. Then he burst into laughter.

"Bwahaha..."

"Cleaning up trash, not a bad reason."

"Then come with me to Navy Headquarters and be a janitor!" Garp said with a grin.

"Wow, does such a great job really exist?" Yeyin eyes lit up as he looked at Garp.

Though Yeto knew the Navy probably had designated cleaners, he didn't expect Garp to actually offer him this job.

"You... well, you're definitely a strange one," Garp said, slightly speechless.

He had intended to provoke Yeyin, but he didn't expect Yeyin to be so excited about the idea.

And from Garp's perspective, this kid seemed genuinely thrilled.

"A strange person? The Navy's full of strange people! One more won't hurt," Yeyin replied cheerfully.

Hearing this, Garp was at a loss for words. After all, he himself was a bit of a strange one too.

"By the way, you've met Dragon, right?" Garp suddenly remembered what he really wanted to ask.

Yeyin had distracted him, and he nearly forgot.

"Yeah, I've met him. Isn't he going off to be a revolutionary?" Yeto asked, puzzled. "Why do you ask?"

Of course, Yeyin wouldn't tell Garp that his son, Dragon, was now one of his subordinates.

"You don't have any thoughts about joining him?" Garp asked, confused.

Given how peculiar Yeto was, and considering his young age, Garp figured he'd be easy to sway.

"Join him? With his half-baked ideas, why would I join? To become some kind of second-rate pirate?" Yeyin replied disdainfully.

Hearing Yeyin's words, Garp was once again speechless.

He realized this teenage boy was just... strange. There were too many odd things about him for Garp to even bother pointing out.

"We leave tomorrow. Get ready," Garp said as he put down his bowl and left.

As for Yeyin, he naturally began his cleaning duties. After all, there was still plenty of trash around here.

And trash must be cleaned up.
