In the game, Lucas's assassin character didn't look much different from his gunner. The main change was his staff being replaced with a dagger.
Oddly enough, even his body felt lighter. Intrigued, he immediately opened the status screen.
Player: Lucas
Class: Unassigned
Level: 1
Passive Skill: Mana Surge
Skills: Fire Blast, Frost Shield, Wind Dash
"This is awesome! My new character can use all my existing skills!" Lucas grinned, realizing he'd stumbled upon a hidden perk. If he'd known earlier, he could've power-leveled this character ages ago.
Eager to test his new setup, Lucas jumped into a jungle dungeon full of basic goblins. Sure, the XP wasn't great, but it was safe. As soon as he entered, goblins started appearing.
"It works!" Lucas beamed. His theory was right—the game character's strength carried over to his real-world self. His new character was just as strong as his real Lucas.
Boom!
Ding! "Six goblins defeated, level up to 2."
Ding! "Eight goblins defeated, level up to 3."
Ding! "Ten goblins defeated, level up to 4."
With Mana Surge boosting him, Lucas tore through the low-level goblins like swatting flies. Within minutes, his character's level skyrocketed.
But just as Lucas was gearing up to hit level 5, a sudden chill in the real world snapped him out of his game. He looked up to find three frost goblins silently advancing.
"Lucas, glad you're finally back with us. Any longer and we'd all be frozen popsicles!" Jeff was shivering, ice coating his armor. His relieved expression showed they'd narrowly escaped disaster.
Emily and Jack were locked in a desperate fight with one frost goblin. The cold had slowed their movements, making them easy prey. They wouldn't last much longer.
"Oops, sorry, got a little too into the game," Lucas said with an awkward laugh. Without missing a beat, he unleashed Fire Blast.
Boom! Boom!
Two blasts of fire smashed into the frost goblins, instantly melting the freezing air. With a loud explosion, one goblin was reduced to ashes.
With Lucas's help, Jack used his speed to cut down the remaining frost goblins. His sword moved like a scythe, finishing them off. Lucas couldn't help but admire, "Man, speed really is an advantage."
But Lucas wasn't satisfied yet. After the fight, he quickly dove back into his game, determined to keep leveling up his new character.
Jeff and Jack exchanged a tired glance, while Emily tried to reason with him, "Lucas, can you maybe take a break from the game? We've still got a dungeon to clear here."
"No way, I'm at a crucial point!" Lucas didn't even look up, too absorbed in hunting goblins.
Jeff sighed, glancing at Jack. "This guy's a beast, but man, if I ever invite him to team up again, I must be out of my mind."
Ding! "Goblin boss defeated, level up to 5."
The screen flashed, and Lucas's eyes lit up. It was time to unlock his assassin skills.
Skill One: Shuriken Throw (Throw a shuriken with slight homing ability.)
Skill Two: Smoke Screen (Covers an area in smoke for 10 seconds.)
Skill Three: Rapid Arrow (Summons and shoots a fast arrow with a 15% chance to hit critically.)
When Lucas saw the third skill, he couldn't help but grin. "Finally, a powerful skill." Without hesitation, he chose Rapid Arrow, feeling a rush of excitement.
Thanks to his rare Mana Surge passive, Lucas decided to drop Wind Dash for the new skill.
Fire Blast helped him wipe out mobs with ease.
Frost Shield made his mana pool equal to his health bar.
Rapid Arrow was perfect for dealing high damage to elite monsters.
"Speed without damage is just running away. I need this for the boss fight," he muttered.
Once the skill was chosen, the remaining options vanished, and a mysterious mark appeared on his palm. Lucas immediately opened his status screen to check it out.

Lucas paused, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Wait a second… an arrow? As an assassin skill? Did I misunderstand this class?"
Just then, dark clouds gathered overhead. The sky turned black as if a storm was brewing, and Lucas felt an unsettling tension in the air.
From the forest, the sound of footsteps grew louder. A horde of goblins emerged, at least a dozen strong. Three were thrower goblins, six were frost goblins, and the last three were flame goblins.
Jeff paled, his voice trembling. "Twelve evolved goblins? How are we supposed to deal with this?"
They were barely handling three frost goblins before. Now, with the numbers quadrupled, escape seemed impossible. Even with Lucas's help, they were facing a grim battle against these magic-wielding goblins.
"We're probably near the Lightning Goblin boss's area," Lucas muttered, glancing at the stormy sky. The air felt thick with tension, like something powerful was about to appear.
"The boss area?" Jack's face went white. "You're saying the Lightning Goblin boss is nearby?"
"Exactly." Lucas nodded. But right now, the priority was dealing with the evolved goblins in front of them.
"How much of a chance do we have?" Emily asked, her voice tinged with anxiety.
Lucas thought for a moment. The situation looked bleak, but he wasn't ready to give up. "If we work together, I think we can take these goblins down," he said calmly, his expression steady.
If Lucas hadn't just unlocked Rapid Arrow, he might have considered retreating. But now, he saw this as the perfect opportunity to test his new skill
