Lighting broke through the dark clouds, and space itself trembled, a quake, unlike anything the world had experienced in a long time. Flying through the storm filled sky, four figures could be seen as flashes of light, colliding against each other…Not against each other but three against one. The figure in the middle broke through the circle of foes around it, flying so fast that the sound barrier was broken. It was trying to put a little bit of distance between itself and the other three lights. But then one of the figures clad in dark crimson light, unleashed a bolt of white lighting that bended space itself. Seeing the attack approaching, the golden light did its best to unleash his will upon the world. It was able to offset the attack but at the cost of an explosion that sent the golden light flying through numerous mountains. As the golden light crashed through the last mountaintop, its light began to dim, his full appearance finally revealed for all to see. It was a six feet three-inch tall man, with golden hair tied in a ponytail. His face though sweaty and stained with dirt, one couldn't deny the alluring and attractive features of his face. He was inhumanely beautiful, a feature that was a mark of cultivation. He was dressed in gray sleek armor that fitted and showed how muscular he was even underneath the armor. This man was known as Salazar Ashtarmel, one of the most powerful beings in the world of Gaia. Salazar held on to the spear in his hand as he got out of the crater. Using his mental force, he was able to arrange the runes around him in an array system, establishing the spell frame for the spells he would unleash. He picked up on his enemy approaching him from the shadows, trying to sneakily attack him. Salazar was infuriated, angry that his enemy would dare to use the same trick they had once used on him before.
[Illumination Orb] He quickly added a new spell and released it as the Vampire stepped out of the shadow world he was hiding in. Vampires were weak to light and heat, so the light of a semi- Transcendent being was scorching hot, enough to blind the Vampire. But Nigel Ashgar was a thousand year old Vampire who was within the lower tier of the Emperor realm. His healing factor was strong. Unfortunately for him, it was not quick enough to heal him in time as Salazar thrust his Divine Weapon, Longinus right through his heart. Nigel spat out blood, the damage from the Divine weapon too much for his weakened body to handle and he began to dessicate. Salazar drew his spear off the corpse as his Internal sense picked up the other two enemies.
"Nigel is dead," Arkus, the Dragon Lord said to his female companion. He was a tall, mighty being with red hair, Scarlett eyes, and two large horns on his forehead. From his back were a pair of scaly wings that were large.
"Serves him right," The woman said. She was beautiful, so beautiful that if a mere mortal should look upon her face, they would forsake even their wife. She had platinum hair, with golden armor that showed her hourglass figure. Her platinum eyes were cold and inhuman, one set of white feather wings behind her. She was a Nephilim, a hybrid of the celestial race Angel and human. Her name was Lilin Morningstar. Both her and Arkus were at the high tier of the Emperor realm. They were at the peak of this world's power. And still, even though they had fought against Salazar together, they could not bring him down. " We warned him not to use that move again,"
"Did it have to be this way," Salazar said.
"Give us the Blood of Longinus, " Arkus said. "And we might let it go,"
"The blood is mine," Salazar said. "I found the spear and the blood. It's within my right to have it."
"You already have a Divine grade enchanted blade," Lilin said. "The blood is enough to share between us. Why are you acting so greedy,"
"Greedy… Greedy…" Salazar laughed out loud, his body shaking from the exhaustion from fighting three powerful beings. "If I didn't know any better Lilin, I could have sworn that somewhere in that cold heart of yours, you were planning on backstabbing me and taking my spear," Lilin said nothing but the way she squeezed her fist told Salazar he was right. He took out the vial of golden blood that contained Divine power. The power was enough for a High tier Emperor Realm being like Salazar to break through from the Immortal stage to the Divine Stage.
"He's going to absorb the resource," Arkus said.
"We can't let him," Lilin said. "If he reaches Transcendence, he will go after our people." The two Emperors struck at the same time, but Salazar was ready. He swung his spear in a horizontal swipe, striking Lilin and separating her from Arkus. He focused most of his strike on her, channeling his Radiance through the spear. The blade of the spear clashed against the two style swordsmanship used by Lilin, her fighting style relying on explosive power even with the less bulky figure that she had. While Salazar focused on trying to break Lilin's defense, he had already released the spells within his Frame, attacking Arkus at the same time. All this happened as mountains came down, the ground broke apart from the force that all three Immortal beings were exerting. As time wore on, Linlin could feel her defense break away, Salazar's might overwhelming her.
"How is this possible," Lilin said. "I'm a Nephilim, daughter of Lucifer Morningstar,"
"Not my problem," Salazar said. Lilin was powerful, there was no doubt about it. But Salazar was in a different realm than her. He was halfway in crossing from the Immortal stage to the Divine stage. Salazar was a semi-transcendence being, so his Mana reserves were more than even Lilin. As he was about to break her defense, Arkus came out of nowhere slamming his fist against Salazar's face. Salazar felt some of his teeth fall off his mouth, blood gushing out. As a Dragon, Arkus' physical might was greater than even Salazar who also had a mighty body. Distracted by the pain for a second, Lilin pushed her attack on Salazar who knew that he was reaching his limit. He had killed one Emperor, but still fighting the remaining two was still hard. He felt Lilin's sword go through his shoulder, the sword cleaving through his bones. Blood sprayed, and Arkus unleashed his Dragon breath upon Salazar. Salazar erected a Barrier around himself, knowing that just using his Mana fortification was not enough to survive the blast. He felt Arkus' intent on the attack overwhelm his shield, and as the shield broke down, Salazar was prepared to redirect the attack with his spear, when the shadow below him moved. He sensed it too late, the bastard moving from the shadow running his blade through Salazar's back. Nigel Ashgar in his desiccated body had used the power of his Willforce to push his body. He had been waiting for the right time to attack, laying low as his body rotted away. And now he had landed his attack.
"You persistent bastard," Salazar said as Arkus Dragon's breath drowned him in a colorful spray of crimson light. The attack burnt Nigel's desiccated body, turning it to ash. When the light downed out, all that was remaining was a large crater that was scorched. In the middle of it was Salazar, his body all burnt up. His armor was gone, and so was his upper garment. All that he had on was his grey pants. He held on tightly to his Longinus spear. Half of his face was burnt up, his skull showing through some patches of burnt flesh. As Arkus and Lilin drop beside Salazar, they saw a vial land on the scorched ground.
"What have you done to Longinus' blood," Lilin said. She was breathing heavily, exhausted from trying to stay alive. Arkus looked at the empty vial and then at the golden stain on Salazar's lips.
"You drank it," Arkus said. "You forsook using Mana fortification to lessen the damage and instead chose to drink the blood. Why…Why go so far.."
"So you bastards won't have it," Salazar smiled. Lilin growled as she shoved her sword through Salazar's heart. But Arkus felt the coming danger before Lilin could. The Dragon grabbed the Nephilim and tore through to the sky as the dense energy that Salazar had been preparing manifested.
[Ha! So close to reaching godhood, and now this.] That was Salazar's last thought as the darkness took over his consciousness.
