Gates: Portals to other worlds that contain monsters. There are 3 types of Gates:

One-Way Gates: Traps the person or people inside the Gate until they kill the boss.

Normal Gates: Adventurers can go in and out of them. However they close if the boss is killed. It is the same with other Gates.

Broken Gate: If an Gate remains open for too long, the monsters inside will break through the Gate causing a event known as a Monster Breach and the Gate will stay open until the boss is killed or the Gate is sealed.

Monster Breach: A event where monsters inside an Gate break through the gate and cause destruction in the outside world.

Adventurers: Awakened who use their abilities to clear Gates.

Military ranks: Positions of importance that can change depending on the soldier's actions. There are two types:

Enlisted ranks: Basic ranks which include;

Private: The lowest rank, they usually are trainees who are undergoing basic training.

Private (E-2): Like Privates, they usually undergo training but they have an insignia.

First Class Private: Privates who have completed the basic training and are usually assigned to do tasks.

Specialist: These soldiers can manage soldiers of a lower rank and can go into Gates.

Corporal: Manages the smallest Army units and are responsible for soldiers' cleanliness and training.

Sergeant: First Line leaders who usually lead units into Gates and who also oversee soldiers in their daily tasks.

Staff Sergeant: Leads squads of 8-16 soldiers and trains troops.

Sergeant First Class: Key assistant to the platoon commander who is responsible for training and caring for soldiers.

Master Sergeant: Principal NCO (non-commissioned officer) of a battalion or higher.

First Sergeant: The senior NCO in several units, they command other sergeants, advise the commander, and advise all soldiers' training.

Sergeant Major: The senior enlisted adviser to a primary staff officer at the battalion or higher.

Command Sergeant Major: Training professional that oversees and drives all training.

Sergeant Major of the Army: The epitome of all sergeants, they oversee all NCOs and advise and consult the chief of staff of the Army (4-Star General).

Officer Ranks:

Second Lieutenant : Leads platoon style elements with a platoon sergeant and 2 or more squads(16 to 44 soldiers).

First Lieutenant: Often selected to be executives of a company-sized unit, they lead more specialized platoons.

Captain: Commands company-sized units of 60-200 soldiers.

Major: Serves as primary staff officer for brigade and task force command.

Lieutenant Colonel: Typically commands battalion sized units(300-1000 soldiers).

Colonel: Leads brigade size units(1500-3200 soldiers).

Brigadier General: Serves as deputy commander to the commanding general for army divisions.

Major General: Commands division-sized units(10000-16000 soldiers).

Lieutenant General: Commands corps-sized units(20000-40000 soldiers).

General: Commands the other generals.

Commander: Commands the entire army.

System terms:

Quest Window: Gives tasks that when completed give rewards.

Levels: Indicates how strong the user of the system is.

Attributes Windows: Allows the user to increase their stats by using attribute points.

Status Window: Shows user's current status.

Traits: Obtained by fulfilling certain conditions, they are exclusive to the user.
