Bella's Point of View
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My head spun as the accusations flew, one after another, without giving me a moment to process or respond.
"Why are you doing this?" Sam's voice was sharp, his gaze hard as he addressed Kelvin.
Kelvin, however, wasn't backing down. "Not until she tells us who she really is and what her relationship is with the prisoner in the hospital."
"Calm down and let her talk," Maya interjected, her tone softer but no less curious.
Sam stepped forward defensively. "I'm her husband. You don't need to question her like that."
His words stunned me. Despite everything the chaos, the accusations, and even the truth of our contract marriage he was standing up for me.
Kelvin scoffed, crossing his arms. "Husband or not, she can't just walk into this family, approved by Father or not, and start dragging our name through the mud."
