Acting the Part
Sam's point of view
I walked into Bella's room, finding her standing in front of the mirror. She was staring at her reflection, her expression unreadable, as if she were lost in her thoughts.
"You did well today," I said, my voice breaking the silence.
Bella turned slightly, her eyes meeting mine. "I did what I did for my money," she replied coolly.
Her words hit me in a way I hadn't expected. There was a sharpness to her tone that stirred something in me, a mix of irritation and... something else I couldn't quite place. I pushed it aside.
I stepped closer, my eyes lingering on her for a moment. "Grandfather said we should move to the villa tonight."
"Why?" she asked, her tone suddenly curious.
"It seems he's suspicious of our marriage being... less than genuine. I think he's testing us. We'll need to act more convincingly if we want to pull this off."
