Bella's Point of View
I woke up to the soft hum of the villa, the smell of fresh coffee drifting in from the kitchen. My head was still a little foggy from the medication, but I could feel the exhaustion weighing me down. Every inch of my body ached, a reminder of what had happened, the attack, the fear, and the aftermath.
I rolled over slowly, careful not to disturb Sam, but when I reached for him, I realized he wasn't beside me. Panic hit me for a split second, my heart racing, before I remembered he had gone out earlier, to meet Eliana. A bitter taste filled my mouth as I thought about her. Something didn't sit right with me about her, especially after I had seen that message. Was she really pregnant, or was she just trying to manipulate Sam in some way? I couldn't help but feel a knot tighten in my stomach. I needed answers, but I had to be careful. If I was going to confront Sam about her, I needed to be in the right state of mind.
