Sam point of view
The Boardroom
As I walked into the towering Asher Enterprises building, I couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The polished marble floors and gleaming glass walls reflected my image back at me a man who knew the game but never underestimated his opponent. Kelvin's so-called emergency meeting didn't sit right with me. Kelvin never did anything without an agenda, and I wasn't about to walk into his trap without a plan of my own.
Jonathan, my right-hand man, stayed close behind me, his sharp eyes scanning every corner as we made our way to the elevator.
"Do you trust this?" Jonathan asked, his voice low.
I adjusted my cufflinks, my tone as cold as steel. "Kelvin doesn't act without a reason. This meeting is more than what he's letting on. Stay sharp."
