Guided by the young girl, Ye Chen slowly descended the hill, the scenery before him resembling a fantastical painting. He glanced at his hands, reflecting on the incredible transformation from an ordinary Earthling to a "Dreamer." Memories of the Thunder Beast flashed in his mind, causing unease; he knew he needed to grasp the rules of this world quickly to survive in this unfamiliar land.
"May I ask what to call you?" Ye Chen inquired, pondering her identity.
"My name is Lia, the guardian of this land," she smiled, sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting a soft glow on her. "Welcome, Ye Chen! Here, you will have infinite possibilities."
"Infinite possibilities..." Ye Chen murmured, deep in thought.
Lia seemed to sense his confusion and continued, "In this fantasy world, everyone can use 'Fantasy Power' to create their own small world. Fantasy Power reflects one's imagination; with it, you can turn your thoughts into reality."
"How do I acquire Fantasy Power?" Ye Chen pressed.
"Everyone has a fixed daily quota to acquire it, and you can increase your reserves by finding rare materials, completing tasks, and challenging foes," Lia explained, excitement shimmering in her eyes. "The stronger you become, the more unique your creations will be!"
"Sounds good," Ye Chen thought, beginning to plan how to build his own world.
"However, acquiring Fantasy Power isn't easy. Many powerful Dreamers fiercely seek rare materials, which contain immense energy to significantly boost their reserves. Competition here is fierce."
"Oh, where should I start?" Ye Chen asked, feeling lost.
"We can explore the surroundings and look for some beginner-level rare materials to familiarize ourselves with this world's rules," Lia suggested energetically.
"Great idea!" Ye Chen nodded, feeling a spark of excitement.
As they wandered through the forest, Ye Chen was dazzled by the vibrant plants and strange creatures, as if he had entered a dreamlike realm. Suddenly, he spotted a peculiar tree laden with shimmering golden fruits.
"What's that?" Ye Chen exclaimed, pointing at the fruit tree.
"That's a Dream Fruit, rich in Fantasy Power, which can help you boost your basic reserves," Lia replied with anticipation. "However, these fruits are usually guarded by fantasy creatures, so we must be cautious."
"How do we get it?" Ye Chen's mind raced with various outlandish strategies, envisioning comical scenarios, "What if I call for takeout? Can they deliver the Dream Fruits?"
"No time for jokes! We need to attract the guardian creatures' attention," Lia said, searching for suitable materials.
Scratching his head, Ye Chen recalled a funny video he'd seen, where someone used food to lure dogs. Suddenly inspired, he pulled a piece of chocolate from his pocket. While not from this world, it might still attract those creatures.
"I'll give it a try," Ye Chen declared, holding up the chocolate and playfully striding toward the fruit tree.
At that moment, a fluffy little creature peeked out from behind the tree, its glossy fur sparkling and eyes glimmering with curiosity. It sniffed the air, seemingly drawn in by the chocolate's aroma.
"Look! It worked!" Ye Chen whispered excitedly.
The little creature approached cautiously, eyes gleaming with greed. Just as Ye Chen prepared to hand over the chocolate, more of its companions appeared, a swarm of fantasy beings emerging and fixating on the chocolate in Ye Chen's hand.
"Wow, is this a robbery?" Ye Chen thought, feeling suddenly overwhelmed.
Lia quickly nudged him from behind and urged, "Hurry, give it to them! That's how we can get the Dream Fruit!"
"Oh, got it!" Ye Chen tossed the chocolate, and the little creatures immediately scrambled for it. Seizing the moment, Lia rushed toward the tree, attempting to pluck a Dream Fruit.
As Lia reached for the fruit, a massive creature charged out from behind the tree, crackling with electricity and emitting a deafening roar. Ye Chen froze, panic setting in.
"That's the Thunder Guardian! It protects the Dream Fruits!" Lia shouted.
"Seriously? Can we not have these surprises?" Ye Chen lamented, retreating hastily.
The Thunder Guardian lunged at them, the air crackling with electricity, making the entire forest tremble. Lia quickly produced a shimmering crystal from her pocket and hurled it at the guardian. The crystal glowed brightly in mid-air, forming a barrier that temporarily stopped the guardian's assault.
"We need to retreat!" Lia urged.
Ye Chen's heart raced as they backed away. The Thunder Guardian roared angrily, uprooting plants in its path. Ye Chen grit his teeth, thinking, "This is way too intense; I wasn't ready for this!"
In that moment of crisis, images of mythical heroes flashed through Ye Chen's mind, as if they were imparting strength to him. He felt a surge of energy rising from his heart, ready to unleash.
"Wait! I can give it a shot!" Ye Chen suddenly shouted, an idea forming in his mind.
He halted, turning to face the Thunder Guardian, hands raised, conjuring his own myth. Vivid images of brave heroes filled his thoughts as he shouted, "Grant me the name of a legend, O Power of the Brave!"
As he spoke, the surrounding space warped, intertwining his myth with reality. The Thunder Guardian's attack suddenly paused, stunned by his presence.
"Come on, give me that Fantasy Power!" Ye Chen roared inwardly, attempting to channel the newfound energy.
A thunderous sound reverberated through the air, and the Thunder Guardian took a step back, seemingly suppressed by an unseen force. Ye Chen felt an exhilarating rush, realizing he was stepping into the role of a true Dreamer.
"Lia, grab the Dream Fruit!" Ye Chen shouted, emboldened by the thrill.
Seizing the opportunity, Lia swiftly snatched the Dream Fruit and rushed towards Ye Chen. Just then, the Thunder Guardian regained its composure and charged at them again.
"Run!" Lia yelled beside Ye Chen.
With determination, Ye Chen felt the mythical power surge within him once more and leaped forward, striking at the Thunder Guardian. In that instant, a deafening blast resonated as if the power of legends condensed in his hand.
With a mighty crash, the Thunder Guardian was thrown back, losing its balance and crashing down. Ye Chen staggered, feeling dizzy as the energy inside him began to fade.
"We did it!" Lia exclaimed, grabbing Ye Chen's hand and racing towards safety.
"Am I dreaming?" Ye Chen felt euphoric, thinking that such adventures were utterly irresistible.
As they fled, Lia clutched the Dream Fruit, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Your performance was incredible! You seem to possess a unique power within you!"
"Haha, maybe I've just watched too many mythical stories as a kid," Ye Chen replied confidently, secretly grateful to have escaped danger.
"Next, we need to find more rare materials to boost our Fantasy Power," Lia proposed, her eyes filled with anticipation.
Ye Chen smiled subtly, already crafting plans for the unique world he would create. In this strange fantasy realm, he would wield his knowledge and imagination to carve out a space of his own, creating a legendary tale uniquely his own.
"What's our next objective?" Ye Chen asked eagerly.
"We need to explore more dangerous areas; they hide even greater rare materials and formidable foes," Lia responded, her expression resolute.
"Let's go! I can't wait!" Ye Chen felt his enthusiasm ignite, taking a deep breath as he stepped into the journey ahead.
