"I need to talk him into giving up the man. He can continue his secret affairs after he is married and has already given me grandchildren."
"Is that really what you want for him?"
"What other choice do I have? Kill him? I can't do that either.
"No one is suggesting that you do that." Maksim holds up his palms. "But you are having another child, and if it is a boy, then Karlen can move away. Have a life outside the Dvina―"
"No." I snap. "I'm not disowning my son and letting him live in exile. He will have to give up the soldier and get married.
Maksim clearly doesn't approve, but he keeps silent. Which is wise considering how I want this to be handled. And I will not let anyone talk me out of it.
