"Fish?" A few of the crew members burst into laughter at the absurdity of the Eros's claim.
"Come on, call out your little fish. We need food for the next two days. We should start preparing the salt for better taste," one of the men snickered, and the others joined in, chuckling at the comment.
"Hmm, sure," Eros replied with a grin, "But I doubt my pet would enjoy the taste of salt in his food."
As he spoke, Eros whistled softly. The sound sliced through the night air, carrying on the wind. The crew suddenly felt a strange tremor beneath their feet, the ship vibrating as if something massive was stirring beneath the waves.
"You! Check what's happening!" The captain barked, his body shaking with the ship as he lost his balance. One of them dashed toward the railing, peering over the edge of the ship, his face growing pale as he stared into the darkness of the sea.
