After defeating Moro, Bulma's island estate was once again filled with joy as everyone gathered to enjoy a grand feast.
As they interacted more, the former Destroyer God Beerus became increasingly popular.
Especially Vegeta's daughter, Bra, John's daughter, Lazuli, and Gohan's daughter, Pan, these three little girls all enjoyed playing with Beerus.
Whenever they saw Beerus approaching, the three girls would chase after him, shouting, "Big kitty, let's play together!"
This would cause Beerus to dodge around, eliciting laughter from the crowd.
Just as everyone was celebrating, Joe was hiding in a shadowy corner, observing the crowd in the courtyard with a mysterious smile on his face.
Suddenly, two voices emerged from behind Joe, startling him. It was Trunks and Goten, now in their teens, who had grown up together and were still studying and playing together.
Trunks, with a mischievous smile, asked Joe, "Hey Joe, what's going on with you lately? Why are you hiding from us?"
Trunks then said with a lewd smile, "Come on, tell us, are you in love or something?"
Joe brushed Trunks' hand away and said, "Don't touch me. You two, stay away from me." After saying this, Joe put his hands in his pockets and walked towards a small, secluded food stall.
Trunks and Goten looked at each other, puzzled by Joe's behavior.
Trunks asked Goten, "What's wrong with him lately? Is he going through a rebellious phase? I don't think I've done anything to offend him."
Goten also furrowed his brows and said, "I don't know. Logically, we shouldn't have any worries with our backgrounds."
"We don't have to worry about money or schoolwork, and there's no pressure to get into a good school."
Suddenly, Goten seemed to realize something and said, "Do you think it's because of martial arts? My dad and older brother have been pushing me to train harder lately. They say I'm getting older and should focus more on my martial arts training to keep up with them."
"Is that it? But that doesn't seem like a reason for Joe to change his attitude so drastically," Trunks said.
"Why don't we ask Uncle John?" Goten suggested.
"Good idea, let's go," Trunks said, and the two headed towards John.
At that moment, John was sitting with Goku and the others at the dining table, enjoying delicious food and chatting. They were discussing their future martial arts direction and the meaning of Moro's last words.
Trunks and Goten ran up to them and asked John, "Uncle John, have you been putting too much pressure on Joe lately? He seems a bit off lately."
John was taken aback by Trunks' question and asked, "Trunks, Goten, why do you say that? I haven't been pushing Joe to train recently."
"Compared to when we were kids, your martial arts skills are already impressive. You're both diligent, and we don't need to push you," Trunks replied.
Vegeta spoke up seriously, "Trunks, did you do something to upset Joe?"
Goten quickly defended Trunks, "No, Uncle Vegeta. Joe, Trunks, and I have been playing together since we were little. Why would we do something to upset him?"
"I just found Joe with Trunks, but before we could say anything, he told us to leave him alone," Goten explained.
"So we came here to ask you, Uncle John, if you've been putting too much pressure on him."
Hearing Goten's words, John furrowed his brows. He and Android 18 had always taken a hands-off approach with Joe, especially compared to their daughter Lazuli. Their attitude towards Joe was, "As a boy, you should be responsible and solve your own problems. Only when you truly can't handle it should you seek help from your parents."
Joe had always done well, and he didn't have much pressure from life or school. Additionally, Joe had always played with Trunks and Goten, so they weren't too worried about him going astray.
Now, hearing that Joe's behavior had changed, John felt he needed to pay more attention to Joe.
Seeing Joe sitting alone at the food stall, John smiled and said to Trunks and Goten, "Don't worry, I'll talk to Joe."
John walked over to Joe, who was quietly eating at the food stall. Suddenly, Joe felt a hand on his shoulder again, and he turned around angrily, shouting, "Hey, didn't you hear what I said..."
But when Joe turned around, he saw that it was John who had touched his shoulder. Seeing John's serious expression, Joe's heart sank.
John looked at Joe and said, "Come with me."
John headed towards the Gravity Room, and Joe sighed, clenching his fists. He reluctantly followed John into the Gravity Room.
Trunks and Goten had just witnessed Joe's words to John and were surprised. Now, seeing them enter the Gravity Room, they followed and peered through the window.
Inside, they saw John and Joe sparring, but it was more like Joe was being one-sidedly beaten.
The worst part was that John was hitting Joe in painful spots, causing Trunks and Goten to wince in sympathy.
However, Joe was tough, gritting his teeth and enduring the attacks without making a sound.
After about ten minutes, John emerged from the Gravity Room, looking refreshed.
Standing at the door, John said, "Starting tomorrow, you'll train with me for half an hour every day until you learn to respect others." He then left and headed back to the gathering.
Trunks and Goten rushed into the Gravity Room and found Joe lying on the floor, bruised and swollen.
They helped Joe up, and Trunks, as the oldest of the three, said with concern, "Come on, Joe, why don't you just apologize to Uncle John?"
Hearing Trunks' words, Joe clenched his fists...
