Chapter 275 - Chapter 22: The Tournament of Power Part Eight

"Did we win?!" the warriors from Universe Six shouted in unison.

All the other universe fighters watching closely were also keenly observing whether Dispo, one of Universe Eleven's ace fighters, would be eliminated.

As Dispo was about to fall off the edge of the arena, several orange energy ropes suddenly descended from above, wrapping around his limbs and waist.

The unexpected turn of events shocked everyone; they hadn't anticipated a third party intervening in what was supposed to be a one-on-one battle.

The intervening fighter declared, "I am Quincy from Universe Eleven's Pride Troopers. I won't allow someone like you to harm my teammate..."

However, before Quincy could finish his sentence, two golden energy blades sliced through the air, severing the energy ropes he had unleashed.

Dispo truly fell off the arena this time, disappearing from sight.

The battlefield had shifted yet again, leaving everyone astonished—who had just intervened?

Following the gazes of some spectators, they quickly turned to John Doe, who had previously escaped from Jiren's grasp.

To clarify, while everyone thought John Doe had fled, he believed he was merely saving the most exciting battles for last.

Quincy glared at John Doe, who had just cut his energy ropes. "You coward! How dare you sneak attack?!"

John Doe replied coolly, "Do you know what I dislike most about your Universe Eleven?"

"That you always proclaim your actions as justice while labeling anyone who opposes you as evil. On what grounds do you judge others by your own standards?"

"You say my actions are evil; let me ask you—what part of my actions just now violated the rules of this martial arts tournament? None."

"It was clearly a battle between two people, yet you chose to intervene first. Don't blame others for doing the same; it's not about justice or injustice but fairness."

"A 2-on-2 seems fair to me. If you had brought your teammate up from the start instead of spouting nonsense, I wouldn't have been able to eliminate Dispo."

The surrounding warriors nodded in agreement with John Doe's words, while Quincy trembled atop the rubble pile.

Universe Eleven was down to just three fighters—one of the smallest teams remaining.

Toppo didn't want any more members from Universe Eleven to be eliminated and pulled Quincy and Jiren away from the battlefield temporarily.

Toppo said to Jiren, "We need you to step in. Our universe has the fewest fighters left; we must eliminate opponents before time runs out or reduce their numbers below ours."

After the battle ended, Hit looked up at John Doe and said, "I can handle them myself; I don't need your help."

"Oh, I'm not helping you. I just want to eliminate a threat to us," John Doe replied.

They exchanged glances before Hit shoved his hands into his pockets and turned away.

Seeing that Hit and Dispo's fight had concluded, warriors from other universes resumed their battles.

However, many fighters now recognized who the true powerhouses were on this stage; most were reluctant to confront John Doe and his allies.

Goku and Vegeta watched the ongoing skirmishes and felt an itch for action. They threw their fists into the fray without hesitation.

The arena erupted once more with fierce battles.

As time ticked away, six universes remained on the stage, but their numbers had significantly dwindled.

Universe Two had only one fighter left: their ace, Ribrianne.

Universe Three still had four warriors remaining.

Universe Four was peculiar; although no fighters were visible on stage, they hadn't been erased by Zeno. Speculation arose that Universe Four might have invisible fighters left—having lost eight warriors already meant only two remained hidden.

Universe Six still had three fighters: Hit, Caulifla, and Kale.

Universe Seven boasted seven remaining fighters: John Doe, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Android 17, Android 18, and Frieza.

Universe Eleven also had three fighters left: Jiren, Toppo, and Quincy.

With only 23 minutes left in the Tournament of Power—less than half of the allotted time—the situation was clear. Universe Seven became a target due to its numerical advantage; all other universes focused their attention on them except for Universe Six.

Without any prior discussion among them, they instinctively directed their focus toward Universe Seven.

The first to strike was Universe Three since they were nearly as numerous as Universe Seven.

The Destroyer God of Universe Three was a robot; thus their chosen fighters were primarily robotic as well. Three robots launched an attack on Universe Seven's warriors with countless missiles flying toward them.

The members of Universe Seven scrambled to dodge these missiles as they zipped past them with thunderous crashes upon hitting the arena floor—creating numerous deep craters in the already battered stage.

Next up was Ribrianne from Universe Two. Androids 17 and 18 prepared to engage her in a rematch that had been left unfinished earlier.

Following that was Universe Eleven's turn: Vegeta faced off against Toppo while Frieza confronted Quincy—the weakest among them.

John Doe, Goku, and Gohan teamed up against the three robotic warriors from Universe Three.

Hit stood guard in front of Jiren alongside Caulifla and Kale to prevent him from joining in on Universe Seven's assault.

What surprised Hit was that Jiren showed no intention of intervening; he merely stood there with his arms crossed over his chest.

This time it was a coalition of super warriors from four universes targeting Universe Seven. The three robots from Universe Three began merging under their commander's orders into a larger machine called Kiyuki Arredar. After merging, beams of green light shot out from its mechanical eyes toward John Doe and his allies.

At this point, this robot was beyond what John Doe's group could handle normally. He and Goku immediately transformed into Super Saiyan forms while Gohan joined them in attacking this combined robot head-on.

But it wasn't over yet; with a flash of blue light, the warriors from Universe Three merged once more...
