John Doe and Vegeta's teamwork didn't last long, and it wasn't long before Fused Zamasu began to mercilessly overpower both of them.
John Doe shouted at Goku, "Goku, are you ready yet?!"
Goku calmly replied, "I'm ready. Here I come." His tone was flat, without any emotion.
Goku flew at lightning speed toward Fused Zamasu, just in time to block Zamasu's punch aimed at Vegeta, and then he started to counterattack.
Facing Zamasu's attacks, Goku nimbly dodged while also attempting to strike back.
However, the power gap was too vast, and Zamasu was unperturbed by Goku's attacks. For a moment, the two seemed to be evenly matched.
But after just a few exchanges, Goku couldn't maintain this state any longer, and Zamasu's punches and kicks sent Goku flying.
As for John Doe, unfortunately, his stamina was already depleted, and he couldn't maintain the Pseudo-Ultra Instinct state any longer.
The combined efforts of the three didn't inflict much damage on Zamasu, and they were quickly overpowered, with the added complication that they reverted from their Super Saiyan Blue forms.
John Doe quickly took out the Senzu Bean from his pocket, but in the instant he retrieved it, Fused Zamasu lifted his hand, and the Senzu Bean was snatched away by Zamasu.
John Doe flew forward to try and retrieve it, but he was knocked down by a punch from Zamasu.
Fused Zamasu opened the bag, poured out the Senzu Beans, took one, and ate it, instantly feeling his body return to peak condition.
Fused Zamasu said with delight, "I never expected this little thing to have such a great effect."
However, Zamasu then ignited a pink flame in his hand, burning all the Senzu Beans, and said, "But I think I shouldn't give you any more hope."
After saying this, Fused Zamasu asked again, "Do you have any more tricks? If not, don't blame me for killing you all!" Then, with a flick of his wrist, the pink scythe of death reappeared in his hand.
John Doe and the others were about to die at Zamasu's hands, and all three of them wore expressions of despair.
Fused Zamasu looked at their faces and said, "Well, from your expressions, I can tell you've accepted your fate. Since that's the case, let me send you on your way."
Just as Fused Zamasu was about to finish them off, Future Trunks transformed into Super Saiyan 2 and attacked Zamasu with his sword.
But Zamasu seemed to have anticipated Future Trunks' arrival, and he remained unmoved by Future Trunks' attack, lifting his hand to grab the sword.
Zamasu said, "Little mouse, you finally came out. I've been waiting for you for too long." Then, with a kick, he struck Future Trunks in the abdomen, sending him flying and landing next to John Doe and the others, instantly reverting from his Super Saiyan state to normal.
"Alright, everyone's here. It's time to finish you all off. Die!" Fused Zamasu said, brandishing the scythe in his hand, ready to kill the four of them.
The four of them, including John Doe, showed expressions of despair.
At that moment, a figure appeared behind Fused Zamasu, and a double-kick struck Fused Zamasu's back.
Zamasu's back was hit, and he was heavily slammed into a pile of rubble.
When John Doe and the others saw who had come to their aid, they were stunned, as the person who had just attacked Fused Zamasu was also Zamasu.*
"What's going on here?" John Doe and the other three exchanged glances, wondering why another Zamasu had appeared and why he was attacking Fused Zamasu.*
The new Zamasu flew down and landed in front of John Doe and the others. He took off two Potara earrings from his ears and threw a small bag to John Doe, saying, "These are Potara earrings. Two of you can wear them, one on the left ear and one on the right, and you'll fuse for an hour."*
"The bag contains Senzu Beans. Eat one to restore your stamina."
John Doe took the items handed to him, looking at the new Zamasu with confusion, and asked, "You're also Zamasu. Why are you helping us?"
Just as Zamasu was about to speak, Fused Zamasu jumped out of the rubble and angrily turned to the new Zamasu, asking, "Which world's Zamasu are you, and why are you helping the enemy?"
Looking at Fused Zamasu, who no longer resembled his former self, the new Zamasu said coldly, "You really are forgetful. Isn't this the body you exchanged with me?"
Upon hearing the new Zamasu's words, Fused Zamasu and the others were stunned. Fused Zamasu spoke first, "You're the John Doe from that other world, whose body I exchanged with."
"But I clearly remember killing you," Fused Zamasu said.
"The Dragon Balls. Although you destroyed the Super Dragon Balls, the Dragon Balls on Earth and Namek still exist, so resurrecting me wasn't a problem."
"With the help of the Seventh Universe's Supreme Kai and Beerus, I've become the new Supreme Kai of the Tenth Universe, so I used the Time Ring to avenge the body swap."
At that moment, Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks realized that the Zamasu who had just appeared was actually the John Doe from the future world whose body had been exchanged with Zamasu in the past.
John Doe curiously looked at the new version of himself, a strange feeling indeed. He had known that in other parallel timelines, there were other versions of himself, but now, the two had actually met in person.
Fused Zamasu revealed a sinister smile and said, "It doesn't matter who you are now, but since you're here, don't think about leaving. Face your fate of death with them."
After saying this, Fused Zamasu roared, and a pink flame soared into the sky, indicating that he was going all out.
The new John Doe quickly said to John Doe and the others, "Hurry up and fuse! Do you want to die here?"
John Doe and Goku snapped out of their daze, and John Doe quickly handed the Potara earring in his hand to Goku, putting one on his left ear, while Goku put the other on his right ear.
As soon as they put them on, a powerful force of attraction erupted between the two, followed by a flash of light. When the light faded, a new person appeared, with a face that combined the features of John Doe and Goku.
