Frieza asked, "Why aren't you transforming into a Super Saiyan?"
After their training on the Planet of the Gods of Destruction, John Doe, Goku, and Vegeta's base power had reached the level of their original Super Saiyan state. Goku replied, "Hehe, I don't need to transform to beat you now. My base power is enough."
Frieza, enraged by Goku's words, attacked him.

Goku smiled slightly, "Frieza, you really want me to transform into a Super Saiyan and fight you, don't you? But I'm sorry to disappoint you. After all these years, not only have you improved, but we have too. Now, witness my newest form!"
