Chapter 201 - Chapter 23: Severely Injured Majin Buu

This was the first time since Buu had developed self-awareness from his chaotic consciousness that he felt a sense of helplessness. He had never imagined that someone could completely overpower him in terms of strength.

However, Buu would never admit defeat, as no one had ever taught him that it was an option after losing. All of his previous opponents who had fallen to him had been killed.

Buu continued his assault on John Doe, and after dodging Buu's punch, John Doe struck Majin Buu in the abdomen with a single blow.

Then, with a backhand punch to Buu's face, Buu was once again knocked to the ground.

John Doe closely followed Buu, chasing after him, and then, pressing down on Buu's chubby face with his hand, he rubbed it against the ground, creating a long scar on the ground and flattening half of Buu's face.

John Doe grabbed Majin Buu and threw him into the air, then immediately unleashed a Kamehameha wave, which engulfed the entire Majin Buu with its massive energy. The ground was littered with pieces of Buu.

At this point, John Doe's strength had already caused harm to Majin Buu. Whether it was John Doe's previous punches and kicks or the Kamehameha wave he had just fired, they all directly attacked Buu's cells.

When Buu recombined the fragments and returned to his original form, he had already consumed most of the energy within his body.

Buu panted heavily, staring at John Doe, and then suddenly turned around, wanting to escape. This was an instinctive reaction.

However, John Doe naturally wouldn't let Buu get away. He quickly sidestepped and blocked Buu's escape route.

Seeing John Doe standing in front of him, Buu slammed on the brakes and stopped, then tried to flee in another direction.

Unfortunately, no matter which direction Buu ran, John Doe's figure blocked his escape path.

Up in the sky or down on the ground, Buu couldn't escape John Doe's obstruction.

John Doe raised his hand, extending two fingers, and countless scorching beams shot out from his fingers, striking Buu.

Instantly, Buu was riddled with countless beams, turning him into a sieve.

After repairing himself, Majin Buu regained his original form, but his energy inevitably decreased significantly again.

Goku said to Vegeta, "There's no major problem. John Doe won."

The outcome was as Goku and Vegeta had expected. With John Doe's final blow, Majin Buu crashed heavily into the ground, becoming motionless, and his energy became extremely weak.

Just as John Doe was about to finish off Buu, Goku's savior complex kicked in again. As John Doe prepared to eliminate Buu, Goku rushed over and stood in front of him.

"John Doe, wait a moment. I think we shouldn't kill Buu. Buu is like a child, and the real villain is Bibidi, who has already been defeated by Piccolo," Goku said.

John Doe replied, "Although he has a childlike personality, Buu is hard to judge in terms of good and evil, and his power is so immense. If we let Buu go, and he gets into a conflict with someone on Earth, who can subdue him?"

"We can't possibly keep an eye on him all the time, can we?"

John Doe's words made Goku scratch his face in embarrassment. To be honest, John Doe's words were putting Goku in a very difficult position.

But unless the opponent was truly evil beyond redemption, Goku wanted to find a way to save all other enemies.

So Goku walked up to Buu and asked Majin Buu, "Hey, Buu, we'll let you go, but you have to promise me that you won't harm another person on Earth, okay?"

Buu asked, "I don't want to harm anyone, but I'm hungry and need to eat."

"Oh, do you have to eat people?" Goku exclaimed in surprise. If Buu insisted on eating people, Goku naturally had no reason to stop John Doe from eliminating Buu.

"I only like to eat cakes, chocolates, candies, and such," Buu said.

"Oh, aren't those all regular human foods? Why do you insist on harming humans?" Goku continued to ask.

Buu thought for a moment and replied, "Bibidi taught me all this. He taught me to use magic to turn humans into various sweets, and then I'd eat them to fill my stomach."

Goku then said, "Buu, the foods you want to eat can all be made by humans. You don't need to turn humans into food. You can just buy them with money."

"Money, what is that?" Buu asked.

Hearing Buu's question, Goku was stunned. Although he knew that buying things required money, he had never really used money himself. Chi-Chi took care of all the household purchases.

How should he explain this to Buu? Goku was struggling to find the right words.

As he pondered, Goku turned to Vegeta and said, "Vegeta, why don't you and Bulma adopt Buu? Bulma is so rich that she doesn't have to worry about money."

"No matter what Buu wants to eat, Bulma can provide it, and Buu can also protect Bulma's safety."

Vegeta immediately became unhappy at the thought of having such a dangerous Buu in his home. He shouted, "Why don't you adopt him yourself? I won't keep such a dangerous person in our house!"

Seeing Vegeta's refusal, Goku turned to John Doe, who immediately turned away to decline.

Seeing that his two friends had rejected his request, Goku had no choice but to look at Buu and say, "Alright then, if they don't want you, Buu, you come with me."

John Doe asked, "Goku, Gohan died at Buu's hands. If you bring Buu home, won't Chi-Chi kick you out of the house?"

Goku replied, "It's fine. We can use the Dragon Balls to revive Gohan. Since Buu has admitted his mistake, we should forgive him."

John Doe looked at Goku and said, "Alright, if you want to adopt Buu, I won't say anything. I can only hope that you'll keep an eye on Buu and prevent him from killing humans and destroying the Earth."

And so, Buu was defeated by John Doe and then adopted by Goku. John Doe had thought that was the end of it, and all that was left was to wait for the appearance of Beerus, the God of Destruction, in Dragon Ball Super.

However, John Doe hadn't anticipated that Buu's story wasn't over yet. Relying on Goku to watch over Buu was indeed a difficult task for Goku, but that's a story for another time.

After the battle with Buu ended, they still needed to revive Gohan, or else Chi-Chi might kick both Goku and Buu out.
