Chapter 188 - Chapter 10: Unexpected Contestants

The first match: Krillin vs. Pudda.

Compared to the diminutive Krillin, Pudda was a tall, fat, and agile black man.

When Pudda realized that his opponent was a short man barely 1.5 meters tall, he was overjoyed and couldn't stop taunting Krillin.

If it weren't for the rule against private fights between contestants, Krillin would have given him a good beating.

The other contestants also envied Pudda, thinking he was sure to win.

As Krillin and Pudda walked towards the stage, Pudda couldn't help but show his extreme pride, as if he had already won the championship. The audience, seeing the huge difference in size between the two contestants, immediately booed in dissatisfaction.

Many spectators believed that the outcome of this match was a foregone conclusion, and the big black man would surely win.

Amidst the boos, the two contestants stepped onto the stage.

After the host announced the start of the match, Pudda began to flip around on the stage, doing dozens of flips before leaping in front of Krillin. With a smile, he said, "Come on, attack me. I'm afraid that if I strike first, you'll fall down, so I'll let you go first."

Krillin, naturally, didn't hold back and punched Pudda in the stomach.

The heavy blow caused intense pain, distorting Pudda's face. But before he could scream, Krillin followed up with a punch to the jaw, knocking him off the stage and onto the ground.

The audience was completely taken aback by the result, and the entire venue fell silent. After a moment of silence, the crowd erupted in cheers, all rooting for Krillin. It was clear that Krillin had won over the audience with his performance.

The second match: Kaioshin (God of Creation) vs. Piccolo.

Both contestants stepped onto the stage, and John Doe knew the outcome of the match. He didn't pay much attention, thinking that if Piccolo hadn't fused with Kami earlier, he wouldn't be afraid of Kaioshin. But now, having fused with Kami, he had inherited some of Kami's powers. On the stage, Piccolo quickly sensed the suppression of his status and eventually chose to concede when he couldn't fight back.

Goku was puzzled and kept asking Piccolo what had happened, but Piccolo didn't reveal the truth because Kaioshin had asked him to keep it a secret during the match.

The audience was surprised that the second match ended without a fight, and they angrily threw trash at the host below, complaining that the match wasn't exciting enough.

Many spectators demanded that Mr. Satan be invited to compete.

Seeing this, the host quickly announced the start of the third match: Videl vs. Spopovich.

Before Videl took the stage, John Doe reminded her, "Miss Videl, be careful of your opponent. He's not an ordinary fighter. If things get too difficult, choose to concede. He won't go easy on you just because you're a woman."

Videl was familiar with Spopovich, who had defeated her father in the past. She was well aware of his strength, so she didn't take John Doe's warning to heart, but she still thanked him.

Seeing that Videl didn't take his warning seriously, John Doe felt helpless and stopped talking.

Videl didn't take the warning to heart, but Gohan heard it. After Videl stepped onto the stage, Gohan quickly approached John Doe and asked, "Uncle John, is Spopovich very strong?"

"He's not strong, but he's weird, and his body is filled with evil energy," John Doe replied. After years of training in the Heavenly Temple, he had become more sensitive to energy.

"Evil energy?" Gohan muttered, looking towards the stage.

As the host shouted, "Begin the match!"

Videl took the initiative and attacked her opponent. Many spectators knew that Videl was Mr. Satan's daughter, so they cheered for her.

Videl, trained by Gohan, took the upper hand from the start and repeatedly attacked Spopovich, forcing him to retreat.

However, for some reason, Spopovich didn't seem to feel any pain from Videl's attacks.

On the contrary, after several attacks, Videl began to breathe heavily, and as time passed, she couldn't suppress her opponent anymore.

Spopovich started to counterattack, and the tide of the battle turned from suppression to a stalemate. As time went on, Videl began to be suppressed by her opponent.

Under Spopovich's attacks, Videl was kicked off the stage and almost fell out of the arena.

Gohan was pleased to see that Videl had used the Bukujutsu he had taught her to avoid falling out of the arena. He exclaimed, "Well done, Videl! You're using the Bukujutsu I taught you very well."

On the side, Goku said solemnly, "I think it would have been better if she had fallen out of the arena just now."

Gohan didn't understand what his father meant, but the next battle would make it clear.

Videl returned to the stage and looked at her approaching opponent with a tall and imposing figure, feeling a bit nervous. However, she didn't want to give up so easily, as she hoped to meet Gohan in the next match.

So Videl used all her remaining strength and kicked her opponent in the neck.

A loud crack echoed through the venue, and everyone heard the sound of her opponent's neck breaking. The host kept exclaiming in surprise because killing was not allowed in the Budokai, and he thought Videl had killed her opponent.

However, Spopovich didn't care and directly lifted his head, putting it back in place.

The audience was shocked, as this was completely unexpected.

After Videl's all-out attack, she couldn't launch an effective counterattack. Eventually, she was forced to the edge of the stage and used Bukujutsu to fly up, trying to buy time to think of a strategy.

To Videl's surprise, Spopovich also flew up, even higher, and directly hit her with a Ki Blast, knocking her onto the stage.
