Chapter 168 - Chapter 37: Cell's Second Fusion

John Doe watched as Cell continued to transmit life energy into the body of Little Cell, who was lying in the cold storage box. Little Cell's breath grew stronger.

John Doe couldn't let Cell complete his goal, so he fired a ki blast at him. But it hit a blue barrier and was instantly destroyed.

"Damn it, a barrier!" John Doe's heart sank, and he immediately understood that stopping Cell would be difficult.

As time passed, Little Cell's body continued to grow until it reached the height of Cell's first form.

When Cell finished the injection and pulled out his tail, Little Cell's breath in the cold storage box suddenly increased again, surpassing the Super Saiyan level and approaching Vegeta's strength from earlier.

At this moment, Little Cell slowly opened his eyes and sat up in the cold storage box. His eyes were filled with confusion, clearly unaware of his current situation.

As Little Cell turned his head to observe his surroundings and understand what was happening, Cell raised his right hand and placed it on Little Cell's chest. Then, Cell smiled sinisterly at Piccolo.

Piccolo was startled, his face turning pale. He shouted, "This is the Namekian fusion skill! Stop him!"

"What?!" John Doe, Goku, and the others were shocked. They finally understood why Cell wasn't pursuing Android 18; he had a backup plan from the beginning.

John Doe and the others immediately tried to fire ki blasts to break the barrier and stop Cell's fusion, but it was too late.

Cell shouted, "Fuse!"

Little Cell, looking dazed, screamed and turned into a beam of light that rushed into Cell's body, disappearing into the air. Poor Little Cell, after seeing this world, couldn't even utter a word before vanishing.

Cell, having absorbed Little Cell, was surrounded by flashing white light, and his power began to surge, quickly surpassing John Doe and Goku's Super Saiyan full-power state.

Finally, the light faded, and when Cell reappeared, his appearance was exactly the same as John Doe's previous life's vision of Perfect Cell, with electricity crackling around him.

Everyone, including John Doe and Goku, became tense, as it was clear that Cell's strength had far surpassed theirs.

After evolving into Perfect Cell, Cell didn't immediately launch an attack. Instead, he began punching and kicking, adapting to his increased strength.

Watching Cell's actions, John Doe knew that all of this was because of him, and he had to defeat Cell.

With this thought, John Doe charged at Cell.

Goku shouted, "John Doe, wait! You're not his match yet." Seeing John Doe charge forward, Goku followed.

At the same time, Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan and joined them, and the three of them launched an attack on Cell.

Cell, seeing the three attackers, was delighted. He had been worried about not having anyone to test his strength against, and these three were among the strongest on Earth. Defeating them would make him invincible on Earth.

John Doe was the first to engage Cell, and their fists clashed, creating a loud blast in the air. Goku and Gohan followed, joining the fight with Cell.

Despite his great strength, Cell was not eager to face the three of them.

So, Cell retreated while fighting John Doe and the others. His strength had far surpassed theirs, allowing him to seize opportunities to avoid being surrounded by the three of them, ensuring he only had to face John Doe and one other attacker.

As time passed, Cell became increasingly accustomed to his growing strength. Finally, he let out a loud shout, and his aura surged.

Just before John Doe's next attack, Cell vanished and reappeared in front of him, as if he had teleported due to his speed.

Cell looked at John Doe's shocked face and smiled coldly. Then, he punched John Doe in the abdomen, and the powerful impact passed through John Doe's back, creating a loud explosion.

The intense pain caused John Doe to lose consciousness, and he fell from the sky.

Cell then punched Goku and Gohan, defeating them both. They fell heavily to the ground behind John Doe.

In the Heavenly Realm, Vegeta and Future Trunks emerged, both in Super Saiyan form. It was clear that after two years of training, Vegeta had reached the limit of the Super Saiyan state.

As Vegeta stepped out, he felt a powerful aura. He was very familiar with it; it was Cell's energy.

Vegeta's face changed. "Isn't this Cell's energy? Why is it so strong? What have John Doe and Kakarot been doing?"

After speaking, Vegeta didn't even have time to change into his training clothes. He flew towards Cell with Future Trunks.

Piccolo protected the three defeated fighters, staring intently at Cell as he approached.

Cell said to Piccolo, "Piccolo, I have to thank you. If it weren't for your cells in my body, I wouldn't have thought of the fusion technique."

"Actually, John Doe's guess was correct. I originally used my current Cell embryo to create a helper, but it was still too difficult for me to face all of you alone."

Piccolo asked, "Aren't you afraid that it will turn against you? There's only one Android 17 and one Android 18, and only one of you can evolve into Perfect Cell."

Cell replied, "Yes, that's right. So I hesitated about cultivating it, but I never imagined that you could fuse with a god. This gave me inspiration, as I have Namekian cells in my body."

"If you can fuse with other Namekians, then I should be able to as well. So, I conducted research and discovered the secret of fusion."

"Then why didn't you fuse from the beginning instead of choosing to absorb Android 17 and Android 18?" Piccolo asked.

Cell replied, "Because I wasn't sure. I wasn't certain that fusing with my past self would evolve me into Perfect Cell, so I fell into your trap."

"Your biggest mistake was the last ambush. You didn't give it your all, allowing me to make a comeback and successfully fuse with Android 17. Based on this, I was able to fuse with my past self and evolve into Perfect Cell."

"So, I have to thank you for your help! Ha ha ha..." Cell's laughter echoed throughout the city.
