As John Doe and his group arrived near the spaceship, Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz emerged from the spaceship as well.
Among them, Vegeta, the leader of the trio and the most powerful, took the middle position.
The three slowly descended in front of John Doe and Goku, facing off on an open ground.
A gust of wind blew, adding to the tense atmosphere between the two sides.
Raditz, the Saiyan who had previously invaded Earth, took the initiative and approached John Doe's group to negotiate.
He ignored the Earthlings, even though their power levels were higher than his.
Raditz looked directly at his brother Kakarot, believing him to be the strongest among the Earthlings as a Saiyan.
"Kakarot, let me introduce you," Raditz said, pointing at Vegeta. "This is Vegeta, the prince of our Saiyan race, a super warrior with a power level of 1,000 at birth."
"He's not like you lower-class warriors with only 2 power at birth. As the prince of our Saiyans, I still hope you'll see the error of your ways and submit to Prince Vegeta's command."
After introducing Vegeta, Nappa expected Raditz to introduce himself next, so he puffed out his chest, ready for Raditz's praise.
However, after waiting for a while, Nappa realized that Raditz had not introduced him. When he looked up, he saw that Raditz had retreated behind Vegeta.
Nappa was furious and said, "Raditz, what's the meaning of this? Why did you introduce Vegeta but not me, Nappa?"
Raditz gave Nappa a sidelong glance and said, "Didn't you just introduce yourself?"
As the two were about to argue again in front of the enemy, Vegeta felt his head was about to explode. Especially when he saw the Earthlings looking at them like fools, he was furious and shouted, "Shut up, you two idiots!"
"Don't you know who our enemy is? They're standing right in front of us!"
Seeing that the two sides were not going to stop their antics, John Doe stepped forward and said to Vegeta, "Vegeta, I never thought you'd have the audacity to invade our Earth with just three of you. I wonder who gave you the courage."
Vegeta, being proud, had no fear even in the face of Frieza. Upon hearing John Doe's words, he became angry but maintained a calm tone. "Courage? We are the universe's top warrior race, the Saiyans, and I am their prince."
"I admit you're powerful; the strongest among you has a power level of over 10,000. But do you think you can withstand us?"
Goku spoke up, "We'll see who wins when we fight."
"You three, we won't bully you. We'll send three of us out to fight one-on-one."
Upon hearing Goku's words, Vegeta was delighted. He hadn't expected the Earthlings to ignore their numerical advantage and choose to challenge them one-on-one. A gleam appeared in his eyes as he said, "In that case, we won't be polite. Who among you three will fight us?"
The Z Fighters immediately began arguing. Of the three, John Doe and Goku were a given, as they were the team's guarantors of victory, and they would naturally fight the two strongest Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa.
This left Raditz as the one the Z Fighters would face, and they were well aware of his power level of 1,500. Any one of the Z Fighters could defeat him.
Since anyone could defeat him, they began to argue over who would fight, as they all wanted to teach the space invaders a lesson.
Piccolo shouted, "Stop talking! I'll be the last one to fight. As Piccolo the Great Demon King, you'd better not mess with me, or I'll kill you all!"
"Don't think that just because you're Piccolo the Great Demon King, we'll give up this last fighting spot. Our strength is not much different from yours." Yamcha spoke up.
Piccolo was so angry that his nose was about to twist. If Goku and John Doe weren't there, he would have attacked and killed those who disrespected him.
As the Z Fighters were discussing who would fight, their voices were not small, and there was no attempt to hide them. Raditz heard their discussion clearly, and Nappa, on the other side, heard the Z Fighters' voices and laughed loudly, saying to Raditz, "Raditz, did you see that? Not only do I look down on you, but these Earthlings do too."
Raditz, already angry, could no longer contain his fury after hearing Nappa's words. He fired a ki blast at the Z Fighters who were arguing.
Piccolo, who had been pushed to the outskirts, was angry, but when Raditz fired the ki blast, he reacted faster than anyone else, reaching out and deflecting the blast.
Then Piccolo said proudly, "You saw that, didn't you? It's not that I wanted to fight, but that they chose me. Since that's the case, I won't be polite. I'll be the first to fight."
Without waiting for the others to react, Piccolo flew out and landed in front of Raditz.
Piccolo raised his hand and took off his weighted clothing, throwing it to the ground with a loud "boom."
When the weighted clothing was completely removed, the face of the Namekian appeared, and Vegeta, who was also a leader in the Freeza Army, immediately recognized the person in front of him.
Vegeta said, "I didn't expect to see a Namekian on such a remote planet."
Piccolo was stunned. Was he an alien like Son Goku?
Vegeta looked at Piccolo's expression and realized that the Namekian didn't know he was an alien.
So Vegeta continued, "I've heard that Namekians know many strange techniques, such as magic and psychic powers. What do you know?"
Piccolo replied, "I thank you for letting me know my true identity. As a reward, let me defeat you. But I'm sorry to disappoint you; I don't know any of those strange techniques you mentioned. I only know how to fight."
After speaking, Piccolo assumed a fighting stance.
Out of habit, Raditz opened the power level tester again, preparing to investigate Piccolo's current power level.
But Vegeta said, "Don't test it. They can control their power level, and this tester is useless now." He took off the tester from his left eye, threw it to the ground, and stomped on it, breaking it.
Upon hearing Vegeta's words, Nappa and Raditz followed suit, crushing their testers.
