Chapter 109 - Chapter 8: Battle Against Frieza III

Facing Frieza's power, which had increased by hundreds or even thousands of times, John Doe suddenly regretted his impulsiveness. He knew that he shouldn't have acted so rashly, as he couldn't transform into a Super Saiyan yet.

Without the ability to transform, even with the Kaioken, John Doe was no match for Frieza in his normal state.

As the sound of cracking filled the air, everyone could see that Frieza had completed his transformation. However, the dust cloud surrounding him obscured his new appearance.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew away the dust, revealing a small and cute Frieza in his fourth form.

One of the onlookers, unaware of Frieza's true power, laughed at the sight of the tiny Frieza. "What's so scary about that? I thought he'd be more hideous, but he's just a little guy. Hahaha... Oh!"

Before he could finish laughing, Frieza shot a purple energy beam from his finger, piercing the heart of the man who had mocked him.

Frieza paid no attention to the others' reactions and turned to John Doe, asking, "Are you satisfied with my new form?"

"This is my true form, but my power is too great for me to control, so I had to seal it. Now that you've seen it, I'll let you experience the fear of hell."

After saying this, Frieza disappeared from his original position. John Doe, startled, quickly activated the 20-fold Kaioken and flew away.

Just as John Doe was about to escape, Frieza's attack reached him, and he kicked the spot where John Doe had been standing.

Frieza was surprised to see that John Doe could dodge his first attack. Looking at John Doe, surrounded by a red aura, Frieza said, "Oh, I didn't expect your technique to be able to increase its power so much."

"But what does it matter? Even if you keep increasing the power, can your body handle it?" Frieza continued his attack.

John Doe tried to dodge again, but this time, Frieza predicted his movement and appeared behind him, kicking him away.

John Doe was hit hard by the attack and barely managed to stay conscious. The Kaioken was dispersed.

Frieza laughed and said, "Is that all you've got? You can't even force me to use a tenth of my strength. How dare you fight me?"

John Doe realized the true terror of Frieza's strength but still wanted to test if he could land a hit on Frieza. He activated the 20-fold Kaioken again and attacked Frieza.

Frieza easily dodged the attack and shouted, "I'm done playing. Die!" He clenched his fists and struck John Doe on the back of his head.

John Doe was knocked away by the blow and crashed into several mountains before coming to a stop.

John Doe struggled to stand up, but fortunately, his body had been trained in 100-fold Earth gravity, so he was able to recover.

Frieza was surprised to see John Doe stand up after such a devastating attack and coldly smiled. "I'll see how many of my attacks you can withstand."

With that, Frieza charged towards John Doe.

John Doe, however, had no intention of fighting Frieza anymore. As Frieza approached, John Doe coldly smiled and began searching for the ki of a nearby planet, preparing to teleport.

Frieza noticed John Doe's smile and his apparent attempt to escape, and he became furious. He raised his finger and shot a purple energy beam at John Doe.

At the same time, John Doe found the ki of a nearby planet and activated Instant Transmission.

Just as John Doe's body disappeared, Frieza's attack hit him, piercing his body.

John Doe vanished from Frieza's sight, leaving him stunned. Frieza frantically searched for John Doe but couldn't find him.

Angered that someone had escaped his grasp, Frieza unleashed his fury and killed Ziong and Gregg, who had been standing with John Doe. Soon, the entire Planet Gante was engulfed in bloodshed.

Several hundred light-years away from Planet Gante, John Doe appeared on a strange planet, clutching his injured chest.

John Doe's sudden appearance startled a nearby martial artist, who quickly assumed a defensive stance, ready to attack. However, seeing John Doe's severe injuries, he held back.

John Doe politely nodded to the martial artist, then took out a Senzu Bean and ate it, instantly healing his body. Only the torn clothes and bloodstains on his body indicated that he had been injured.

Ignoring the stranger, John Doe flew away and landed on a nearby mountain peak.

This battle with Frieza made John Doe realize a significant problem: he had only felt fear when facing Frieza's final form, not anger. Without anger, how could he transform into a Super Saiyan?

This was the biggest issue John Doe discovered about himself: he was too afraid of death.

Being afraid of death wasn't a problem in itself, but if one's character was solely defined by fear, there would be no room for growth.

John Doe reflected on his journey in the Dragon Ball world. From his initial fear and confusion, he had designed a plan to collect the Dragon Balls with Bulma's help and wished for the blood of a Saiyan.

After that, he had relied on his knowledge of the storyline to take advantage of the Saiyan body's characteristics and continuously improve his strength. However, he didn't enjoy training.

If Goku's purpose for training was to challenge stronger opponents and push his limits, John Doe's motivation was his fear of death.

Even Vegeta, who was initially afraid of death, had more pride in his character. He was proud of being a Saiyan warrior and the prince of the Saiyans.

It was only later, when he couldn't accept being inferior to Son Goku, that Vegeta began to train relentlessly, pushing his limits and eventually catching up with Son Goku.
