Chapter 100 - Chapter 73: John vs. Goku

Upon hearing Goku's words, Piccolo became extremely vigilant, eager to know what kind of ultimate move Goku was preparing to use.

However, when Goku launched his attack, Piccolo felt insulted because Goku did not use any extravagant technique; instead, he closed the distance with incredible speed and delivered a powerful elbow strike directly to Piccolo's abdomen.

Instantly, Piccolo felt a tremendous impact on his body. The intense pain caused him to lose consciousness immediately, and he collapsed onto the stage.

Seeing this, the host quickly rushed onto the stage and shouted, "Ah! With just one elbow strike, contestant Goku has knocked contestant Piccolo unconscious! Now let's count down to see if Piccolo can stand up again."

"One, two, three... eight, nine, ten!"

"Ah! After a tough battle, contestant Piccolo has finally lost to contestant Goku. I now declare that the final winner of this match is contestant Goku!" the host announced loudly.

Thunderous applause erupted from the audience. Chi-Chi happily walked over to Goku, wrapped her arms around him, and said, "Goku, I like you more and more! You are just amazing!"

Goku seemed somewhat unaccustomed to Chi-Chi's affection and repeatedly said, "Chi-Chi, you're hugging me too tightly; I can't breathe."

As Goku stepped off the stage, Krillin and the others rushed over to him. "Goku, you were incredible! You knocked out Piccolo with just one hit! How did you train to become so strong?" they asked.

Goku humbly replied, "It's nothing special; I just trained casually. I didn't expect to be this strong."

His casual tone made Krillin and the others want to knock on his head to see what he was thinking—how could he say something so infuriating?

At that moment, Goku noticed John standing nearby. Their gazes locked in the air, sparking an electric tension between them.

Krillin and the others also noticed this change and swallowed their words, falling silent.

John then spoke up: "Goku, you've been looking forward to this match for a long time, haven't you?"

Goku excitedly replied, "Of course! John, you've been looking forward to it too! I have to tell you that I didn't just train at the Heavenly Temple these past two years; I went to a mysterious place and learned some ultimate techniques that will definitely surprise you!"

John responded: "I look forward to seeing them. But I also have many ultimate moves for you to witness."

Both of them extended their hands for a shake; at this moment, John and Goku were not only comrades but also competitive rivals.

Soon after, the host's voice echoed from the arena announcing that the final match was about to begin.

Goku and John walked toward the stage together as the surrounding audience erupted in cheers. This final match was one they had long anticipated; both Goku and John had defeated their respective opponents with extraordinary strength.

Now they were about to face off in the finals. Everyone was filled with excitement, eager to find out who was stronger between the two.

As the gong sounded, John and Goku each assumed their fighting stances.

Without exchanging many words, they immediately began their battle. As brothers who had sparred before, both were very familiar with each other's techniques. They unleashed various intricate Turtle School moves that left the audience mesmerized.

However, as their exchanges grew faster and faster, they gradually disappeared from sight. All that could be heard were the sounds of their fists colliding.

After dozens of exchanges, John realized that while Goku's strength had significantly increased over the past two years, there was still a gap compared to his own power.

Especially in terms of speed—Goku's speed was noticeably slower than John's. John could clearly feel that Goku's speed could not keep up with his own; if he had been using his full strength during this match, Goku would likely have already taken some hits.

Recognizing Goku's weakness, John wasted no time in increasing his attack speed and frequency. As a result, Goku quickly found himself in a difficult position due to John's superior speed.

With a loud thud, before Goku could react properly, John landed a punch that sent him flying away.

Goku flew like a cannonball into the isolation wall of the arena and crashed through it.

Climbing out from the pile of rubble, Goku rubbed his cheek where John had hit him and exclaimed in pain: "Ah! That hurts! Damn it, John! Why did you hit so hard?"

John looked at him and said: "Goku, aren't you going to use your ultimate move? If you don't use it soon, it might be too late."

"You should know that with your current speed against me as it is now—you might not even touch my clothes," John added with a hint of pride.

The spectators—including Krillin—felt that given the current situation, John was likely to win because his strength clearly surpassed Goku's—especially in terms of speed.

Krillin sighed: "It looks like this time too Goku will lose. I never thought he wouldn't even be able to tie with John."

Others nodded in agreement except for Chi-Chi; she firmly believed her husband was the strongest no matter who his opponent was.

But just when everyone thought Goku would continue exchanging blows with John, he said: "John! Wait a moment; I need to take something off."

Hearing Goku's words surprised John as he recalled some scenes from his previous life where there was an episode featuring a match between Goku and Tien Shinhan. In that storyline too, Goku had similar moments where he struggled because his physical speed couldn't keep up with his thought process during an attack.

Sure enough, Goku began removing his weighted clothing piece by piece before finally tossing it heavily onto the stage.

The loud thud shocked Krillin and others as they rushed onto the stage to help remove these weights from Goku. However, these weights were incredibly heavy; even someone as strong as Krillin or Tien could only carry one item at a time down from the stage.

John couldn't help but twitch at the corner of his eye—this was typical of Goku; he loved hiding his true strength even during battles like this by wearing such heavy weighted clothing.
