After hearing God's words, John nodded and said, "Actually, I wanted to come to the Heavenly Temple to train before, but unfortunately, Master Karin wouldn't allow it, and I didn't know the location of the temple, so I never came."
God nodded in understanding and asked, "I know that Master Karin mentioned it to me. May I ask, Mr. John, why did you want to train at the Heavenly Temple?"
"Because I want to use the Room of Spirit and Time for training," John replied.
"The Room of Spirit and Time?!" God was a bit surprised; he didn't expect John to know about its existence.
However, after thinking it over, God realized that it wasn't too surprising since the existence of the Room of Spirit and Time wasn't exactly a secret. After all, the temple had existed for thousands of years.
God nodded in agreement but continued, "There's no problem; you can enter for training. However, I must clarify one thing: one year inside the Room of Spirit and Time equates to just one day in the real world. But you can only stay for two years inside, which is two days in the outside world."
"After that, you must exit; otherwise, the door to the Room of Spirit and Time will disappear, and you will be lost forever in this world."
John nodded to indicate he understood. He then looked at Goku and said, "Goku, let's train together in the Room of Spirit and Time. Training together will be much faster than training alone."
"The Room of Spirit and Time is a desolate white space; if you're alone in there without anyone else, you might go crazy."
Goku nodded enthusiastically; although he didn't know what the Room of Spirit and Time was like, he enjoyed training with John.
So Goku agreed, saying, "Sure! As long as I can train with John!"
God silently nodded. His original intention was for John and Goku to train under his guidance since he already had some training plans prepared for them. However, now that John had expressed a desire to train in the Room of Spirit and Time directly, God felt hesitant about presenting his own training plan.
Mr. Popo led John and Goku to the entrance of the Room of Spirit and Time and reminded them as they pushed open the door: "Mr. John, Mr. Goku, there is enough food inside to meet your needs. However, I must remind you once more that you can only stay for two years. You can exit at any time during that period."
"But please do not exceed that time limit; there will be a two-year timer inside that will ring a day before your time is up to remind you to leave—do not forget."
John solemnly nodded; he certainly did not want to end up trapped inside the Room of Spirit and Time.
Afterward, John and Goku bid farewell to Mr. Popo and entered the Room of Spirit and Time.
As the door closed behind them, silence enveloped them; only their breathing sounds could be heard.
Goku immediately felt an overwhelming pressure from within the Room of Spirit and Time. The first thing he noticed was gravity—it was ten times stronger than Earth's gravity—making him feel like he had to exert all his strength just to move.
Next was the air; the oxygen levels were much lower than on Earth. After just a short while inside, Goku found it difficult to breathe.
Feeling somewhat distressed, Goku said to John: "John! It's really hard to breathe in here! I'm having trouble catching my breath!"
John quickly reassured him: "Don't panic! Calm your mind—take deep breaths in slowly through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth while circulating your internal energy to maximize your oxygen usage."
As Goku followed John's guidance and gradually adapted to his surroundings, he walked down some steps and looked into the distance—only to find an endless expanse of white stretching out before him with no visible end.
John approached Goku's side and said: "Here it's nothing but boundless white space. So make sure not to stray too far from this palace; getting lost would be troublesome since there's no food or water—you'd only end up dying here."
"The temperature fluctuations are also extreme; although there's no day or night here, temperature differences can reach up to ninety degrees Celsius—from a maximum of fifty degrees down to minus forty degrees—making it quite harsh. However, it's precisely because of this environment that we can rapidly increase our strength."
"Goku! Do you have confidence in staying here for two years?!" John provoked him.
Goku looked at the endless white expanse outside and swallowed hard before forcing himself to calm down: "Of course I can!"
Seeing Goku's expression encouraged John rather than mocking him: "Alright then! Let's work hard together here so we can surprise everyone when we come out!"
Upon hearing John's words, Goku immediately ran out into the open space saying: "John! Let's start training! Where should we begin?"
Watching excited Goku rush forward made John turn toward the food storage area nearby as he replied: "No rush! We have two years ahead of us. We need to learn how to balance work with rest; we can't just focus solely on training or we won't be able to last two years."
"So before we begin serious training, let's have a good meal first followed by a nice sleep!"
Both their appetites were large; thus they chose a mix stew along with grilled meat—some meat roasted while others were tossed into a pot for a hearty stew.
After they filled their stomachs well, they enjoyed a good sleep before officially starting their training on the following day.
Knowing they were coming here for serious training at God's temple, John had brought along a small bag containing over a hundred Senzu Beans intending to use them all during this training session.
Before starting their formal training session, John took out some Senzu Beans and showed them to Goku: "Goku! Look what I have here!"
Goku immediately recognized what was in John's hand with surprise: "Senzu Beans!"
"That's right! Senzu Beans from Master Karin are not just for keeping hunger at bay for ten days; their true effect is fully restoring an injured body back to its optimal state."
"I brought hundreds of Senzu Beans for this training session! So let's fight with all our might without fearing injuries—each injury will only make us progress faster!"
Hearing John's encouragement made Goku excitedly nod his head; being able to fight without holding back was exactly what he hoped for as he shouted loudly: "Then here I come!"
With that declaration, Goku pushed off hard from the ground and charged towards John with speed even faster than when they fought during the martial arts tournament.
