Yamcha was not concerned about the feud between the Man-Wolf and Jackie Chun; he was focused solely on his match.
Impatiently, Yamcha called out, "Hey, are you going to fight or not? If not, just get off the stage and admit defeat."
His words resonated with the spectators around the arena who loved martial arts. They began to urge him on; for them, the issues of the moon and transformations were irrelevant.
They just wanted to see a match, and if it wasn't happening, they wanted him to step down quickly so they could move on to the third match of the top eight.
The Man-Wolf, already furious from not finding Jackie Chun, became enraged by the crowd's urging. He turned to Yamcha and recognized him as the one who had been knocked off the stage by a gust of wind without even touching Jackie Chun's clothes last time.
With a cold sneer, the Man-Wolf mocked, "I thought it was someone important. You talk a big game, but you're just another one of Jackie Chun's defeated opponents."
"I remember in the last match, you didn't even touch Jackie Chun's clothes before being blown off the stage!"
Hearing the Man-Wolf's taunts ignited Yamcha's anger; he was determined to show everyone that he was not the same as before.
Yamcha shouted at the announcer, "Aren't you going to start the match?"
The announcer was taken aback but quickly noticed Yamcha's fiery eyes and raised his hand, shouting loudly, "The second match of the top eight begins now!"
With a loud clang of a gong, the match officially started. The two fighters took their stances, both filled with rage. When two opponents of similar strength clashed, it usually led to an exciting battle.
However, Yamcha had received a boost from John.
The Man-Wolf attacked first, his sharp claws swiping at Yamcha, who easily dodged them.
After exchanging blows, Yamcha realized that the Man-Wolf's strength was no threat at all. His anger subsided as he said to the Man-Wolf, "You wanted to teach me a lesson? But you can't even touch my clothes—what gives you the right?"
Provoked by Yamcha's taunt, the Man-Wolf charged forward with wild swings of his claws. Yamcha leaped over him and landed behind him.
The Man-Wolf missed his strike and slammed his hand into a decorative wall behind the stage with such force that it shattered, eliciting gasps from the audience.
To Yamcha, this meant nothing; no matter how strong one's power was, if they couldn't hit their opponent, it was useless.
Yamcha recalled his previous match against Jackie Chun when he had exerted all his effort yet still couldn't touch Jackie Chun before being blown off stage himself.
Inspired by this memory, Yamcha decided to use a similar technique. He clasped his hands together and began gathering energy, emitting a faint white glow from his palms.
Seeing this action from Yamcha made the Man-Wolf realize what he intended to do. In a fit of rage, he charged at Yamcha again in an attempt to stop him.
But before the Man-Wolf could reach him again, Yamcha completed his energy gathering and swung his hand forcefully. A gust of wind swept through as he blew the Man-Wolf off the stage without any resistance.
"Yamcha wins!" The announcer declared loudly as soon as he saw the Man-Wolf fall below the stage.
Although this match wasn't as thrilling as the previous one, Yamcha's display of strength earned him enthusiastic applause from the audience.
As he looked at the Man-Wolf enjoying applause on stage, he sighed and prepared to leave.
Just then, a voice called out, "Wait a moment!"
The Man-Wolf turned around to see that it was Master Roshi calling him. The legendary martial arts master commanded respect from him.
"Ah! What can I do for you, Master Roshi?" The Man-Wolf asked respectfully.
Master Roshi replied, "You wanted to return to human form? I might have a way to help you; would you like to try?"
"Really? You can help me return to human form? Is that true?" The Man-Wolf asked excitedly for confirmation.
"You can give it a try. Besides, since the moon has already been destroyed, even if you find Jackie Chun for revenge over its destruction, it won't change that fact. Why not try my method?" Master Roshi suggested.
The Man-Wolf eagerly nodded in agreement since returning to human form was his greatest desire.
Roshi's conversation with the Man-Wolf caught the announcer's attention. After understanding what was happening, he shouted excitedly at the audience: "We have breaking news! Our martial arts master has a way to help our Man-Wolf contestant return to human form!"
"Let's wait and witness this miracle as Master Roshi helps our contestant transform back!"
Master Roshi invited the Man-Wolf onto the stage and had him stand still. He then waved for Krillin to come over: "Krillin! Come here!"
Krillin obeyed his teacher's command and approached. Master Roshi instructed him to turn his back toward the Man-Wolf so that his head faced him.
Krillin quickly understood what Master Roshi meant and sarcastically remarked: "Master! You're not going to use my head as a full moon to trick him into transforming back into human form?"
Master Roshi tapped Krillin on his head and said firmly: "No talking! Don't interrupt my spell."
Then Master Roshi began casting hypnosis on the Man-Wolf. Once completed, he pointed at Krillin's head: "Look here; this is your full moon—the brightest and roundest one."
Under hypnosis from Master Roshi, as the Man-Wolf gazed at Krillin's head which increasingly resembled a full moon, loud heartbeats echoed throughout the arena.
As those heartbeats quickened faster and faster until finally—the Man-Wolf shouted out loud! With a "pop," he transformed into a plump human with a big mouth covered in fur!
Seeing himself finally transformed back into human form made the Man-Wolf ecstatic. He rushed forward to shake Master Roshi's hand gratefully: "Thank you so much! You're incredible!"
He also expressed gratitude towards Krillin before leaving with excitement in his voice about finally being able to date girls again.
Watching this newly humanized version of the Man-Wolf leave made Krillin remark: "I still think his wolf form looks cooler; I wonder if this new look will attract any girls."
Master Roshi agreed but noted that it wasn't their concern. He patted Krillin on his head and said: "Alright then! It's time for you to take your turn in the third match."
