Looking at the aftermath of his Kamehameha, Master Roshi awkwardly smiled at Ox-King and said, "I didn't expect to lose control and not only extinguish the flames but also destroy your castle."
Naturally, Ox-King couldn't show any dissatisfaction towards his master and quickly replied, "It's no problem, Master! If it's destroyed, I can always rebuild it. You've worked hard!"
John and Bulma ignored the banter between the two and focused on searching for the sixth Dragon Ball using the radar among the ruins.
Soon, John found the sixth Dragon Ball, the seven-star ball, and he cheered with Bulma.
Meanwhile, Goku did not join them in searching for the Dragon Balls; instead, he approached Master Roshi, tugging at his sleeve with eager eyes and asked, "Grandpa, can I use that technique you just used?"
"What technique? The Kamehameha?" Master Roshi asked curiously.
Goku nodded vigorously.
Seeing that Goku wanted to learn his signature move, Master Roshi chuckled and said, "No way! Your strength isn't enough yet. You'll need at least another fifty years of training." He held up five fingers to emphasize.
Hearing that he needed another fifty years to use the Kamehameha made Goku feel indignant. He walked over to the car and mimicked Master Roshi's stance for the Kamehameha.
Master Roshi saw Goku was still determined to try and said, "Don't waste your effort; you still don't have the power to perform a Kamehameha."
However, before Master Roshi could finish his sentence, a flash appeared in Goku's hands. He pushed forward with all his might, releasing a weak energy wave that only blew out the tires of the car. Nevertheless, he had indeed executed Master Roshi's signature technique.
Goku's performance stunned Master Roshi and Ox-King, as well as Bulma who had just found the Dragon Ball and Yamcha who was watching from a distance.
Ox-King exclaimed joyfully, "You truly are Son Gohan's grandson! That's amazing!"
At that moment, Master Roshi realized that Goku was indeed the grandson of his favorite disciple, Son Gohan. The more he looked at Goku, the more he liked him. He felt a desire to take him as a disciple and asked, "Goku, would you like to be my student and learn martial arts?"
Goku was thrilled at Master Roshi's offer and immediately agreed but hesitated to mention that he had promised John and Bulma to gather the Dragon Balls first. He wanted to know if he could train with Master Roshi after they finished collecting them.
Master Roshi readily agreed.
Having found the Dragon Ball, everyone prepared to set off towards the location of the last one.
Just then, Master Roshi walked over to Bulma with a lecherous grin and said, "Miss Bulma, you haven't forgotten your promise now, have you?"
Bulma hadn't forgotten but was deliberately ignoring it. Hearing him remind her made her mutter quietly, "I didn't expect this old man to have such a good memory."
Master Roshi paid no mind to Bulma's mumbling and made a silly face.
Bulma told him, "You wait here; I'll call you later." She then pulled Oolong aside behind a dirt wall.
After a while, "Bulma" peeked out from behind the wall and waved at Master Roshi. Excitedly, he ran over to her.
Moments later, lewd laughter came from behind the wall. When he emerged, there were two streaks of uncleaned blood under his nostrils.
With the Dragon Ball found and Bulma having received treasures prepared by Ox-King, John used a capsule to create another car so they could head towards the last Dragon Ball's location.
At this moment, Ox-King's daughter approached Goku with a blush on her cheeks and said shyly from inside the car: "Goku! Remember your promise; you must come back to marry me when we grow up!"
Goku didn't understand what marriage meant; he thought she was talking about food and eagerly agreed.
Thus John drove off with Bulma and others toward their destination while Yamcha continued stealthily following them in his car. Seeing Goku could use Kamehameha made Yamcha even more wary of John's group.
Bulma checked her Dragon Ball radar and said: "John! There's only one star Dragon Ball left! The radar shows it's over three hundred kilometers away in the deepest part of the desert."
"Are you excited? You're about to collect all the Dragon Balls and fulfill your wish!"
Indeed, John had already devised a plan for dealing with Pilaf. Thinking about how close he was to achieving his wish made him feel exhilarated; soon he would be free as a bird soaring high in the sky.
John turned to Bulma and said: "Thank you so much! You will always be my best friend. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to collect all these Dragon Balls or fulfill my wish."
Afterward, John looked back at Goku and Oolong in the backseat: "And thank you both as well! I hope we can be friends for life."
Upon hearing John's words, Goku rubbed his nose happily while Oolong felt deeply touched. Although their time together had been short and he had initially been coerced into joining them, he felt moved that he was considered a friend now.
At that moment Bulma raised her fist high and shouted: "Let's head for the last Dragon Ball!"
"Alright!" Everyone echoed enthusiastically.
John slammed down on the gas pedal; their car sped off quickly toward where the one-star Dragon Ball lay deep within the desert.
Meanwhile, Pilaf had seen on his massive Dragon Ball radar from within his castle that six of the seven Dragon Balls were coming together rapidly towards him. It was clear that they also possessed a radar capable of locating his remaining Dragon Ball.
"Mai! Shu! Did you see those six Dragon Balls? Get moving immediately! Bring back their Dragon Balls! This time I don't want you to fail again!" Pilaf commanded his two subordinates.
"Yes! King Pilaf!" Mai and Shu responded loudly.
